"Your manager hasn't heard from you, so he asked me to come over. He knows if he showed up you'd beat him with your computer chair."

His hand thumping upon her head startles her for a moment but she's batting him away without any thought immediately.

"I'm fine... Just. Still stuck. Most things people say work for writers block require a visual element.... And you know how that goes for me."

Grunting in agreement Noc gets up from her bed, offering his hands to help Asco out of her bed, walking just in front of her as the pair make it into her kitchen. The sound of her fridge opening makes the cobalt grumble, mockingly echoing the seadwellers next remark.

"You're still not stocking your ki- HEY!" Noc lets out an indignant huff as Asco chuckles, reaching for her pill box, gently running her fingers across the braille on top to find the current day. Telling the days through 1-7 is easier for her, but she’s not found a box like that yet.

As she's about to ask for the day Noc replies with the corresponding number, already having spoken with the cobalt about what's easiest for her. With a quiet thanks and a glass of water her medication is gone in the blink of an eye.

"Is... It better now?” he asks from across the room, his tone almost hesitant to be asking. “Now they've not got you taking twice the dose?"

"Yeah. They're rare now. With how I was treated in the hospital we probably should have gotten a second opinion ages ago anyway.”

Asco can hear him breathe in to speak as she chuckles, but the silence following tells her he’d rather drop the topic. The seadweller takes a seat with her, passing Asco her phone.

"Should I order us food again?" she asks, smirking at the sound Noc’s tail makes against the floor.

"I'll pay this time. Let me just... Uh..."

"Give it here. I'll turn on the dictation."

Asco tries not to be smug at how hesitant he is, the old man probably thinking to himself that he should know how after all these years of thinking himself Asco's parental figure.

"Is there anything I can do to help? With your writers block, I mean. I know you'd ask if you needed something."

"I'm not sure... Maybe I need to go sleep out back on the dias again… Let some real fresh air and even maybe some sunlight fix the problem."

"I'll check the sun net while I'm here, then. It's been a while since you've replaced it... I'm surprised it's lasted this long."

"I can check it... Maybe climbing around in the trees again will help too. Maybe I’ll come up with some sweeping weird tree adventure.” 

Asco snorts at the idea, though Noctol seems less amused. The old man worries too much about her.
