vi was wandering the streets, looking for her sister when she’d run into someone who was being attacked. they immediately interviewed, stepping between to punch the other person in the face to get them to back off. “are you okay?” they asked when the attacker finally left.

vi had no idea what was going on with this city. just a few days ago it was normal. people going about their business. and now it seemed like everyone was on shimmer. vi didn’t see who it was at first. all she saw was someone going after a girl from behind. she wouldn’t see it coming. vi rushed over and body checked the person to the ground. seemingly knocking them out for the time being. vi looked up to the girl to make sure they were okay, freezing when they saw who it was. “cait?” 

vi nearly rolled their eyes at the girl’s comment. “cait? i’m not falling for that, really.” they folded their arms over their chest as they stayed looking at the other. they wouldn’t break contact with them unless they really felt like there was a good reason. 

vi hadn’t even had the time to figure out what was going on. how she’d woken up here in this world before she saw silco. she was pretty sure the last time she saw him he had been dead. how he was standing before her like this, vi couldn’t explain. “silco?” her eyebrows furrowed together. “what the hell is happening.” not a question she’d want to have answered by him, but a question she had nonetheless.

not knowing what was happening to her was pretty much sending her for a loop. in the few days she’s been in town she’d already heard a bunch of stirrings going on. from all the things she’s seen, she was forced to believe it was magic that brought her here. “hey.” vi called to the person nearby. “you believe what they all say about this place?”
