Ted sports long, wavy brown hair that falls to his shoulders, along with a thick, well-groomed moustache that complements his retro look. His eyes are covered by round, amber-tinted sunglasses. He sometimes sports a white lab coat.

IDEOLOGY / BELIEFS

CAMPAIGNER/ACTIVIST - Ted advocates for improved mental health interventions in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. He has a small office at the Labrador Health Centre; however, the people of this town are reluctant to seek care for something as shameful as their mental health. This is why Ted is often off-site recruiting new patients in his van, which he calls the "Wellness Wagon". New patients are subject to Ted's experimental sessions, which the hospital may or may not be aware of. They're desperate for physicians here in HVGB. Ted's latest research aims to bridge the gap between what science can explain and what lies beyond.

SIGNIFICANT PEOPLE

CHILDHOOD FRIEND - Ted had a childhood friend, Eddie, who battled an undiagnosed mental illness while he and Ted were growing up. It's why Ted became a psychologist and is so passionate about it as an adult. However, since moving to HVGB, Ted hasn't heard from Eddie. His last message to Ted was a goodbye and a plea NOT to go looking for him, but Ted is feeling very lonely living in HVGB. Ted is desperate for a new friend and to forget about his old pal Eddie...otherwise, he may have to break his promise.

MEANINGFUL LOCATIONS

HOMETOWN - Ted was unemployable in Boston after he gave an embarrassing lecture to his peers about his parapsychology research. Being laughed out of every medical centre for miles from his hometown has left him majorly homesick. Moving to Happy Valley-Goose Bay was not Ted's first choice, but the town was so desperate to deal with their mental health crisis that they were willing to hire a quack psychologist. Ted had no choice but to move to this creepy Canadian town.
