Husky dog sledging
The last activity that we did in Tromso was husky dog sledging. We had to wear special suits and boots for the activity. Each husky had its own unique name. The huskies got all excited when we came to visit them. Matt and I were assigned to a sledge. Before taking off, all the huskies would howl before they ran. It was quite intense when you have 50+ huskies howling at the same time it did give me a fright. The huskies were strong if I wanted to stop them I had to put all my weight on the brakes to stop them. Matt and I took turns controlling and riding the sledge. When I wasnโt controlling I would sit in front of Matt. The whole experienced last 2-3 hours. Afterwards, we were given some cake and tea/coffee in a warm hut.ย
