Hush Bistro
Hush Bistro is a small, modern cuisine restaurant located in Farmingdale, New York. Executive Chef Marc Anthony Bynum is well known for several wins on the popular Food Network show Chopped. While speaking with Chef Bynum it was clear he has a passion for combining modern flavors with traditional cooking techniques. Hush has an atmosphere that reflects a cozy, 1920s inspired bar with only a few tables and interesting décor. A helpful staff was accommodating and has a vast knowledge of the menu as well as wine pairings, but at times was slightly overwhelming with many suggestions. Hush’s pan roasted half chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy, and accouterments consisting of fingerling potatoes, baby leaks and wild mushrooms brought the dish together well. A refreshing strawberry ricotta cheese dessert was a nice way to end the meal, and the dining experience of Hush is worth returning to. Overall, Hush is an intimate, hidden away bistro with a cozy atmosphere and top-notch food that makes for a superior dining experience.
