Hurricane Irma
Mother Nature has most recently taken the form of a Category 5 hurricane called Irma. She is large, strong, fast and coming our way. Irma’s cloud field covers 300,000 SM, the winds, 39-175 mph, stretch across 300 miles from end to end and can roughly cover the size of the state of Florida.
Since I was born in the Summer of ‘69, there have been 17 Category 5 storms and 5 of those affected the United States. Most recently, Harvey (only Cat 3) and now Irma. She is the strongest hurricane on record. This and all other natural phenomena affecting the U.S. must serve as proof that our earth is changing and we must take steps to protect it to avoid our demise. We must listen to what Mother Nature is telling us in not so subtle ways.
Dear Irma,
Many of us get the message. We know and appreciate your power, so please take a break, turn and go back out to your home in the Atlantic.
