He wasn’t going to let go ... Or maybe he was, but he wasn’t about to tell her that. She looked nothing like the girl who could single handedly deck him, not with her knee pads and helmet done up tight. It was endearing if anything, and her resilience to this was otherworldly. She seemed determined not to give up, even though it had been actual years of attempting this same feat, and to little avail. He pressed his lips together to contain an amused smile, nodding with a raised expression that wasn’t entirely convincing.
Sobering slightly, he shifted his shoulders beneath her hard grip, lifting both hands to take hold of her wrists. “Trust me, Coop?” Eyes imploring as he ducked his head slightly to draw her gaze back to him, he slowly started to peel her hands away from the seams of his hoody, no sign of letting go of her altogether just yet. He took a step back away from the board, toes of his wore sneakers still pointing towards her. “Just keep your legs bent, and shift your weight with the road,” Jughead instructed, trying to put into words the things that was simply instinct for him at that point. Fingers drifted up her wrists to take hold of her hands, thumb secured over her knuckles as he started to side step, pulling her along. “It’s like a motorbike -- you have to lean into it, not against it.”

I mean I already yelled to you, Billy, and Flora herself yesterday but any chance to rave about pals is a chance I will take! I can’t say how excited I was when I first saw hunter Betty pop up and from the first bit of writing I got to do with Flora I was totally hooked. I love the way she sees Betty, how she characterizes her voice and mannerisms, how she gets all the different sides of the character and blends them beautifully in every reply. She’s obviously just a hella amazing writer too – her writing is always just absolutely lovely to read, and made even more lovely by how well she brings Betty to life. Also she sends me songs that make me cry but makes up for it with cute gifsets so it’s all good. ( And I don’t even know how to say how much I love her fc choice …….. ) So yeah, love this gal!
