I saw the series recently and as a good maniac I joined groups of the series xd, I love Willow, she is the friend that everyone wants, Hunter has had a very interesting development, in the interview with the author of the series by the ship of these two, well he didn't say anything apart from laughing and hiding his blush xd, I just know that they look adorable together and willow would help Hunter learn to be him or at least not be so traumatized xd, Hunter and Luz they definitely had it very bad when they were in the mind of Belos xd. I only stay with the fact that if they did not release the collector Hunter, he would not have been able to survive since he has the mark of the emperor's coven:, v

I was searching for symbolic meanings of the willow tree, and I found this, all of you probably know where i’m headed.

“the willow has many healing properties” in this case it’s stated as physical pain, but I interpreted it as a psychlogical way, as we saw in “Labyrinth Runners” Willow helped Gus when he had a mental breakdown and he started to breathe properly thanks to her, and you know who else will probably need her help? Hunter !

“the willow tree may look dainty but, it’s power is not one to be underestimated.” a reference to willow’s past:being called half-a-witch and being underestimated by one of her ex closest friend: Amity, I can say that this is a cute coincidence (or maybe it’s not) Willow is also very feminine (she wears skirts,and is in fact, very dainty) but at the same time she is very strong and resilient, and it doesn’t delete any of her feminine traits.

“The willow reminds us to let go and to surrender completely to our innermost selves. And, to gain a deeper understanding of our subconscious”: we know that probably hunter has an identity crisis right now for being a grimwalker, so maybe Willow could help him out discover who he really wants to be and who he really is (similiar to Willow’s character development where she is seen by Amity as her old self, and now she is her true self, as also Gus said) so probably Willow will play a major role

“We can also look at how the willow tree encourages the expression of deep emotions, including grief and sadness through tears and teaching us the value and consequences of love and loss” still another reference to what role Willow may play in Hunter’s life, Hunter is definetely in a bad place right now, so since willow trees can also represent the expression of deep emotions,she could help Hunter to open up to them in order to feel better and letting show his fragile side
