♢ stabbing them
piper’s reaction to hunter stabbing her.
The pain was the first thing she registered, the burning sensation that came as the blade entered her body. A gasp fell from her lips as her eyes locked with those of her murderer, she recognised him, they’d met once or twice before, they’d gotten along, even if they hadn’t made it to exchanging names.
Their eyes remained locked, Piper’s own filling with tears as she realised what was going to happen at any moment, how her body would stop fighting and give in to her wound, the pain eventually subsiding as her life force faded. “Why?” A single word, asked quietly, the effort to speak too hard for her to bother with more than what was necessary.
She didn’t understand why the man had decided to plunge the knife into her skin, burying it hilt deep into her chest, why he’d come at her in the first place. She received no answer, only her body being lowered to the ground as her breathing became heavier, each breath taking effort, hurting.
“I had my reasons.” And with that he was gone, leaving Piper to bleed out on the hospital floor, the pain in her chest fading as her eyes closed, her body growing still as death became her.
