Young & Not Getting It Mama taught me a lot of things about life, but not its depth. She never mentioned what iāll face in my lifeās journey and as much as i thought i was prepared, i found out that one canāt be totally prepared. The world has a way of fixing a lifestyle on you, well maybe not the world, maybe itās the humans in it. Majority of mankind want to live up to expectations, want to do what others are doing, want to be rich at 25 because they have a 25 year old neighbor who is rich, want to acquire all the riches in the world just to fit the description of the high and mighty or the young and getting it. Young and getting it isnāt a bad thing, donāt get me wrong, but what is bad is committing suicide because uāre young and not getting it, what is bad is turning yourself into a person you can no longer look in the mirror, just to fit into the young and getting it description. You wake up in the morning, check your phone, open Instagram, you see a before and after picture of someone thatās captioned āfat before, now slimā, that feels like motivation yea? You see someone else with a beautiful picture captioned ācouple goalsā. Another one; my new toy (G wagon). Another one; Texas yesterday, Amsterdam and Toronto tomorrow, #HumbleOne #HatersGoanDie #MoneySpeakingā¦ā¦. Then you begin to ask yourself, God when will you answer me? this person doesnāt have two heads. Bla bla. But then, most of these people live a borrow ā pose life and you want to kill yourself because you donāt have what you think they have.
