My church sings this song with so much passion and it moves me every time. And every time I am humbled and reminded that its not about me. It never has been. As much as I hate to admit it, I have been living for my own glory all my life. Always worrying about getting the right job, the right man, the right clothes. Worrying about building a life that is pleasing to me and those around me. But I'm not here for that. I am here by the grace of God and I am here to bring glory to his name and his name alone. I need to work on removing myself from the focus of this picture and fixing my eyes on the one who called this picture into existence. O God, teach me how to nail my glory to the cross.
