The term psyche refers to the human mind, soul, or spirit. In psychology, it describes the totality of the human mind, encompassing all conscious and unconscious thoughts.

Psych - The psyche, the soul, the spirit.
Ology - The study of.
Psychology becomes the study of the psyche. The study of the soul. Maybe that is why the deeper I travel into the human mind, the more I find myself standing at the threshold of the unseen realms.
