Using almost no dialogue, the film follows a number of residents (both human and animal) of a small rural community in Hungary. While most of the film is a series of vignettes, there is a sinister and often barely perceptible subplot.
It's probably best not to oversell the movie. It does unfold almost like a doc about the idyllic life in a rural village.
But it's interesting to watch. And to start noticing the hints of a murder mystery that occasionally turn up.
