Not "nah", nope.
Huna, tryna and krana – and something about rahi as well I think you get where I am getting at here: -na. Huna means invisibility, tryna reanimation and krana means… well, wouldn’t it be fun to find out? The prefixes aren’t hard, they basically stand out already: hu – in, try – re and kra – shadow, respectively. So we have na – visibility, animation, a word that carries both connotations of sight and soul. The krana take over people, making them unable to see and to control themselves, so the translation is apt “shadow-animation/visibility”. I suppose this could be a verbal stem n- or na- meaning “to be seen”, “to exist”, “to live”, na being some type of verb derivative, the meaning of which isn’t clear to me. Maybe “the possession of”? I.e rua, wisdom, is “possession of knowledge”, na is “possession of visibility/existence”, -ka “possession of spirit”? But still about rahi and huna: the hu – hi pair for negation is rather important I think. You see, I just realized something. If h- truly is the negative verb – as I hypothesised before – then hi is the third person present tense indicative conjugation! Do you know how important that is for us!? Matoran can be used now!!
