Hey, so I only listened to the first 1-2 episodes of this last TMA season bc when it started I was having too much pandemic anxiety for it because I was still super isolated, but I’ve been a little nervous about catching up ever since even though part of me really wants to. Since you’ve listened to most of the season, I was wondering if you could tell me how much of the season is about the social isolation and how much is about the standard TMA all-the-entities? That feels like a vague question but idk how to make it more specific?
Yeah, I get what you’re saying! Most of season 5 doesn’t deal with isolation — after the first few episodes, Jon and Martin go trekking across the apocalypse and run into other people/entities. There are a couple of Lonely episodes that do touch on isolation, though imo not in a way that’s particularly reminiscent of the pandemic. There’s also an episode early on in the season that specifically is about a plague that you might wanna avoid because of pandemic anxiety (I can’t remember what the episode number is but the content warnings are very thorough!)Â
Hope that helps!
