I am so excited to have met my FIRST Bunk-A-Biker! And it’s a soul story… I’ve tried numerous times the last year to try to meet some folks on the forum, but they either didn’t respond, our schedules didn’t align, or they left my message on read (guys, I finally know how it feels 😹). Emma saved me from the cold for a few hours and recharged my energy. She kindly fed me tea, we talked bikes, shared life and I lounged around in front of the fire with her pets. I think she’s is absolutely hilarious. When I was getting ready to leave, she asked me in a more serious tone: Can you do me a favor? And you can say no. She told me about a rider friend, Nathan, who passed away in 2021 from suicide and asked if I would put his memorial sticker on my bike to take him to all the places he couldn’t go. His nickname was Puddin. What do you think my response was? HELL. YEA. No hesitation. I had to stop myself from snatching Nathan’s sticker out of Emma’s hand. Nathan, hold on tight, we are going far and I’m going to show you the world! *Cue Aladdin song* I asked Emma what “Hud Er Lit” means? And she said “Ride It Hard” Done. Neon doesn’t match Freyja, but when another biker bestows this honor on you, you do it.
