Steve Jobs “Flash’a hayır” dediğinde eleştirilmişti ama bu son gelişme, yine “haklıymış” dedirtiyor!
Kısa bir süre önce Google büyük bir adım atarak, YouTube‘da Adobe Flash’ı sonlandırma kararı alarak, HTML5’e adım atmıştı. Teknoloji devi şimdi bu planı desteklemek için yeni değişikler üzerinde çalışıyor. Google, Görüntülü Reklam Ağı‘nı da HTML5’e geçirmek için düğmeye bastı.
Google, Google+’ta yer alan Flash içerikleri HTML5’e dönüştürmeye başlayacağını duyurdu. Böylece Adobe standardını desteklemeyen mobil cihazlara da reklam ağını genişletebilecek olan Google, bunun için kullanıcıların bir şey yapmalarına gerek olmadığını da açıkladı. Zira daha önce kullanıcılar bir araç ile Flash içerikleri HTML5’e dönüştürüyordu. Artık bunu Google otomatik olarak yapıyor.
AdWords, AdWords Editor ve ya üçüncü parti araçlarla yükleyen kullanıcıların yüklediği Flash içerikler, Google tarafından otomatik olarak HTML5’e çevriliyor.
Bu gelişmeleri gördükten sonra, Flash’a daha en başından “hayır” diyen Steve Jobs’u anmadan edemiyoruz. Jobs, yıllar önce Flash’a karşı savaş açtığında pek çok farklı yerden eleştiri almış ancak inadından vazgeçmemişti..
Nowhere do we say it has to be done in technology X or programming language Y in order to be a successful and engaging project, and we don’t believe the users who engage in the projects we put out there do either.

i second that. i also believe more in generalizing 1st know about a variety of technologies out there, what they excel in, its best to try it out abit, then specialize in what you think is best investing in, in this case, my opinion is standards HTML5, because in the real world like i found out, its impossible to excel in everything. have an open mind to what technology you choose per project basis.
i choose HTML5 because flash is more for multimedia presentation, experience or cartoons. i think HTML5 is more suited for my use - web application development/rich web applications
