I wasn’t sure which Tarot deck to use 8ut in the end I chose my Goddess Tarot deck which I use for my relationship readings. It’ll 8e a 4 cards spread with how they reacted and how they coped with it.

Dave - Initial Reaction:

Strength. Major Arcana. The same way Oya tames the wind and lightning, did Dave control and tame his temper and storming emotions. You might find that the more pressured he is the least likely he’ll 8e willing to talk. This is isn’t a card of temperance. There’s no calm here, only self control.

Dave - Coping/Aftermath:

9 of Staves (Wands). A card of total exhaustion, it also represents waiting. He didn’t give up on you, standing sentinel everyday so he could 8e the first to see you return home.

Karkat - Initial Reaction:

The Hanged Man. Major Arcana. A card of self sacrifice. He most likely volunteered to go out and look for you. He didn’t care a8out his own safety and was willing to throw away his own life so he could find you.

Karkat - Coping/Aftermath:

Death. Major Arcana. Despite the name this card doesn’t represent the literal death of someone. It means the end of a period in someone’s life. It means allowing the space for change. Karkat moved on and accepted the fact that you were gone. He convinced himself that you were in a 8etter place.

Knight of Pentacles. This card represents efficiency, hard work and routine. You lived a rather monotonous life, doing the same thing again and again every day. You were good at it though and found comfort in that thought. You knew you had to keep doing it, giving up just wasn’t an option.

3 of Wands. This card represents looking ahead, expansion and rapid growth. You might’ve 8een stuck in a routine 8ut you knew the winds would soon change. Something 8ig was coming and it did come. This is a card of hope and moving on to somewhere higher in life. Most likely S8UR8 8ut it could 8e something else.

REVERSED Knight of Swords. This card represents lack of direction, disregard for consequences and also unpredicta8ility. You are still full of excitement 8ut that 8linds you to the dangers lying ahead. Things are not going as you hoped and that just makes you even more reckless to change something, anything around you.
