How do you think Eren reacted when Historia asked him that question (regarding having a child)?
Somehow I guess it would be like this. lol
EM shippers, are saying that Eren cannot be the father because the timeline doesn't add up based on when Historia's due & when Eren was on the island & in Marley. Do you have a better idea of how the timeline actually is? I thought he was gone about 2 years but some people are saying a couple months? Thanks!
I made a post about the timeline on island long ago. (here) In short, it’s been a month since the Liberio attack. However I’m gonna make another timeline about how long Eren was in Marley below.
Eren appeared in c93 for first time at the harbor and he saw Reiner with kids at that time and his armband was on the wrong side. In c100, in his memory, his armband was still on the right (wrong) side.
→ IMO, Eren snuck into Marley’s military on the last day of the war. I mean, in c123, we can see that they arrived at Marley harbor and we didn’t see them using train so we can interpret that Kiyomi’s estate is just around the port so that Eren could go to the battlefield Slava easily by jumping in the ships. After the last battle between Marley & Mid-East alliance, warrior kids were at another harbor (not Marley harbor) where we first saw hobo Eren. Thus, I guess Eren just blended into Marley force during the battle and followed them go back to Marley later.
But if Eren were a Marleyan-Eldian soldier for a longtime, he wouldn’t fuck up by wearing his armband on wrong side because it would only make him suspicious. The Eldian soldiers/warriors had to wear armbands even in battles so Eren just needed to stay in the military for a couple days to know which side to wear but we all see that he didn’t wear it correctly from battlefield to Liberio. Eren even wore it on wrong side before meeting Falco, so we can let aside the case he did it on purpose to get close to Falco. The only explanation I can come up with is that he didn’t really participate the fight because he only joined in on the last day.
I wouldn’t have mentioned this detail if Isayama let Eren wear armband correctly in battlefield and changed it later in Liberio so I can understand that he wore it wrongly on purpose. Otherwise, if he could wear it on wrong side for a long time without being noticed, he really had unreal luck. And he also risked his identity by constantly wearing it on wrong side although he hadn’t met Falco yet.
The memory of Eren in c100 when talking to Falco also showed that Eren with moustache still had both eyes. But I consider this part is somewhat a mistake from Isayama or just a symbolistic implication from Eren (he still saw everything with both eyes, something like that), because in c130 he got his left eyes blinded when he hadn’t grown mustache yet.
At the end of c93, we can see that they also went back to Liberio immediately during night. No time skip between their battle and their coming home since Eren wore the armband on the wrong side whole time.
In c95 and c97, I feel like because of Reiner’s long flashback between the chapters, Isayama made both Marleyan soldier and Eren using “the other day” (この間) to remind the reader c95 and c95 are continuous, この間 is a vague word about the recent events, usually just a couple days ago. My bet is about 1 week.
The memories about Marley that Eren mentioned was just "slept under the same roof, ate the same food" (exactly what he had done in c123) and it gives the vibe of him during the time in hospital since he didn’t mention any "fought together in battle", which is kinda odd to me if we assume that he were a soldier for months since fighting for their ideologies is a keyword of Eren & Reiner conversation.
And as I mentioned above that Eren wasn’t in Marley long enough to know that Eldians must wear their armband on the left, it means that he didn’t spend any time longer than what we’ve seen in c123, he just left after the international forum which was held the next day after their arrive as Hans said to Kiyomi.
In c.98, we actually have a confirmation by Willy that it’s been 1 month from the day he entrusted Magath the duty (c97) to the day before the war declaration; and Falco sending letter for Eren was after their handshake panel, which means both events happened simultaneously. Udo also said that it was “just last month” since their war with Mid-East alliance.
→ From c97 to c98 there’s a short time skip. 1 month + 2 days he spent with other SC members (c123) + about 1 week in hospital, up to the day before festival night, I think that Eren had been in Marley around 1 month to 1 month and a half only.
____________
In short, ~1.5 month in Marley + 1 month after Liberio attack (in Paradis) = 2-2.5 months.
Sorry for late reply, I don’t feel like to use pc lately.
Basically you asked me about the angle of Falco shard and the size of Mikasa shard.
About Falco, frankly I’m not interested in this character (his brother Colt was more interesting imo) so I don’t really pay attention to this matter. However I don’t think that point of view was from the flying falcon (most popular theory) because... that falcon is not a Subject of Ymir and it’s just a symbol of freedom of manga.
Personally I think that shard was from Colt’s view, he was also a Subject of Ymir without Titan Power just like 10yo!Eren in first chapter and we all know that Ymir Fritz can break in her subjects’ minds since they’re all connected by paths. Take a look at this scene again, Colt had to put Falco’s arm down which means when his brother got closer and looked at him with from up to down, he still kept the same pose as in previous page.
About Mikasa, my answer is here but I quote this again for you:
“OMG MKS HAS THE BIGGEST FRAME SHE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON TO EREN!!”
>He doesn’t remember the tears of that girl in the recent event but Historia’s tears 10 months ago.
>He doesn’t remember muh “I will wrap this scarf around you forever” but a childhood’s memory.
>According to frame size logic, Carla has the small frame size so does that mean his mother is not as important as his adoptive sister?!
And as an update from new chapter:
IMO, Mikasa shard in c120 was the biggest because it was related to the first shard in c130, his mind was triggered back then by Ymir Fritz and that’s why when he entered the paths it reminds him of that moment under the tree with Mikasa 10 years ago, it was like the item selected is bigger than other items when using phone lol.
Moreover, in c130, the biggest shard is EH hand kissing scene, it wasn’t the page about future memories only, since the rest shards also have past events like crying Mikasa when they was about to be eaten by Dina (c50) and Bertolt when he was seen by Dina (c96). Thus, the EH shard(s) should be counted as a memory as well.
Lastly, the shard “come home” of Mikasa just has the same value as Sieg shard, where Eren already knew the result of the events (attacking Liberio & getting headshot) were all according to his plan (Mikasa would save him & his brother could catch his head). I don't find it meaningful but on the contrary, the absence of shard about 19yo!Mikasa's feelings in c112 or c123 makes me feel like he doesn’t care about those events. But yeah, EMfags only care about the shard size after all so they can’t see the problem here.
Do you think were are gonna have a traitor in the cringevengers? Seen too late but still, Annie is the most likely choice.
Cringevengers’ goal is to stop Eren, even if they’ll have to kill him. In my opinion, Jean (who once defended Eren’s massacre) or Mikasa (who couldn’t answer if she’ll be able to kill Eren) are the candidates for this traitor role.
Annie only wants to go home and to meet her father, she was ready to kill Eren because she doesn’t want her father to die and her homeland to be destroyed, however when she learned that there’s no way to save Liberio anymore, she’s lost her will immediately. Unless Isayama wants to explore Female Titan’s roar ability, I don’t see Annie will play any major role in future plot.

What do you think about floch?
What a coincidence, I also wrote my thought about him not long ago.
I don't feel something like “I like this character!” because somehow Flock doesn’t have a connection to various characters that I can see his other faces. I mean, I can’t tell if he is a character because he’s more like an outsider of this story who points out reader’s thought and says what Isayama wants to say. *insert based Flock meme*. But I have to admit Flock is really cool, I guess I like him as an interesting character without having any sentiment attached to him.
In term of skills, he knows how to survive, such as nesting on his horse to avoid being hit by rocks, cling to walls low enough to get rid of bullets, fly through the windows when strong opponent like Mikasa appeared, etc. People can say he’s a coward only knows how to run and hide, but imo keeping yourself survive is as important as fighting, Flock is not an elite fighter because he never experienced various fights with titans like 104th. Btw the scene where Kiyomi restrained Flock makes me kinda irritated, Flock is a soldier and Kiyomi is a hag, also she wasn’t introduced as someone who’s skilled at martial art or something like that, I feel as if Isayama over handled this scene to make Kiyomi look like a heroine and Flock a useless villain.
In terms of loyalty and discipline, I don’t think there’s anyone who can overcome Flock. He kept the secret that Eren was pretending to go along with Yelena and Sieg’s Euthanasia plan for 10 months long; being imprisoned he still managed to get connection to do the bomb plan. Back to the Shiganshina battle 4 years ago, Flock carried Erwin on his back a long way with hope to save commander / the devil who can fight against enemies. In reality, every national military needs people like Flock, who always prioritize the sake of his country, always follows military discipline and knows how to survive in battles.
Flock is aware that he’s a coward, and he doesn’t deny it. He’s realistic though, people in SnK (war) always throw their lives easily, or they think that they can give up on living, but Flock wants to live, not a life in hell, he wants to live a better life the future and he’s moving forward in order to achieve it.
Flock's patriotism/nationalism is extreme to the point he looks like a dictator, but he did all of it for his country after all. As readers, we disagree with him to an extent, but as someone who live on island, Flock did nothing wrong to his people and his comrades, unlike cringevengers.
Hi! I wanted to ask you if "... everyone acted for my sake..." it's a reliable translation, because it doesn't make much sense to me, Historia refers why did they try (lol) to find a way so as not sacrifice her? Because clearly that was for Eren but the others didn't do anything ?¿? it's strange
Unfortunately it’s legit. Historia did mention “みんな” (everyone), it’s understandable, because Hans & Levi were in charge of 1 year negotiation although they didn’t do much, it was Azumabito/Hizuru’s work. The rest also received announcement to do a ‘risky’ mission before the celebration of the opening of the rail system by going to Marley and eat ice cream, drink wine creating a base there.
Hence, I don’t find it’s strange when she referred “everyone” but just as you said, I don’t recall they actually did anything or came up with any idea to save Paradis without sacrificing Historia.
@mey-rah-key Sorry for late reply.
I like that this post included the thoughts of an anonymous anti eren blogger. In my opinion, for the most part I think its a fair and reasonable take on the situation even if I disagree to an extent.
There are some points that I have some thoughts on.
Eren has took the long hard narrow road in order to protect Historia. Yes indeed this shows the magnitude to which he cares for her and not only that but her level of importance is placed exceptionally high in Eren mind. This is something that I have continuously pointed out as counter to those who tries to minimize Historia status in relation to Eren on other platforms. However, anti eren blogger guy did pose something that I can not fully disagree with, Eren’s plan/actions are particularly subjective on purpose? And it makes me question more, did he really really have to withhold that much information from Armin and Mikasa (his other most important people in his life). I can see why immediately he would not tell the rest of the Survey Corps and MPs and to a lesser extent his other buddies in the 104th (Jean,Sasha,Connie).
From the jump once Eren learned the truth of how to activate the Founder power, he keeps it to himself out of fear that it will jeopardize Historia safety. Understandable. Yet, it becomes a continuous pattern, where Eren cuts Armin and Mikasa out. Where did the trust go and at what point did it dissipate and WHY?
I like the take of Historia statement being more of a hypothesis of sorts. That could work too like at that point she wasn’t sure. but that to me comes with implications like “hey, I maybe be pregnant which means you might become a daddy”.
I don’t wanna reblog my long ass post to reply you so I try to quote your reblog and reply here lol.
>Where did the trust go and at what point did it dissipate and WHY?
His trust for them slowly had been decreasing since 3 years ago. They talked about understanding between them and people who hate them when they just got to know some of them, they talked about misunderstandings when Eren is the one has full knowledge of 2000 years history, they talked about time when Eren is running out of time... And as they were informed that they had no choice but to sacrifice Historia after one year of negotiation, the first thing they could say was... another desire archiving peace through negotiation.
Not to mention Hans also admitted several times they indeed have no other option but for some moral reason she still formed this cringevengers shit to stop Eren and... what next?
“Ladies and gentlemen around the world, we come this far to let you know Eldians from Paradis desire a peaceful world. We killed Eren Yeager as proof that he was the only threat needed to be killed--- BANG” (someone suddenly headshot her and the rest cringevengers team)
They didn’t show Eren any sight that Eren could rely on them throughout years and he had enough of their talk no jutsu without any backup plan other than the plan sacrificing Historia. The antis can’t blame Eren for not telling cringevengers anything because they didn’t do anything but hang out with enemies and enjoy the life they think they could have even if their Eldian identity is exposed, even AM closed their eyes to Eren’s thoughts and deluded themselves that Eren was doing everything for them until they knew it wasn’t just as they thought.
About Historia making a hypothesis, yeah Idk but I got that feeling when I read that text. If I have time I’ll talk more about this matter later.
