Everything here takes place after the after the events of the Chimera Ant Arc...with a few edits to what actually happened. Namely, Pouf is alive, and Retz exists, but that's addressed in the linked posts.

Believe it or not, there actually is lore behind this seemingly-shitpost-esque series of blogs. I’m surprised too.  Here’s a list of all the active blogs Character Explanations:

Whale Island (Gon, Killua, Alluka, Retz)

Gon and Killua:  After reuniting on while island because Killua got sappy and Alluka got tired of Killua’s lovesick bullshit, Killua and Gon have since built their own treehouse not far away from Mito’s. 

The treehouse features:  -frog wallpaper -various frog decoration -a living room -a kitchen (features minifridge and microwave) -a game room -a side room filled with chocorobos -a closet filled with AirPods (currently empty) -a walk-in closet (for Killua) -a balcony -a slide -a diving board for jumping in the nearby river  -three spare rooms for when Alluka visits

Gon and Killua have feelings for each other, but they’ve yet to address this together. Get to it gays. Speaking of which, Killua is currently working on finding a method to confess...

The events of the Chimera Ant Arc still affect them.

Alluka: Alluka meets up with Gon and Killua for weekly Minecraft sessions, if not more often. She doesn’t live in the treehouse, instead staying with Mito and attending the local school. She and Nanika are both epic gamers, and they say fuck.

Retz: The events of the Hunter x Hunter movies are NOT canon to this AU. However, Gon and Killua met Retz in Yorknew City and managed to ditch her after she tried getting them obsessed with fanfiction and showed her cishet nature. She’s still a dead puppet, and has been such for 10 years. 

Kurapika: Kurapika is incredibly gay, but their internalized homophobia is making it hard for them to accept it. Despite this, they’ve made progress and are close to accepting their feelings for Leorio. They think Leorio is very sexy and are able to make contact through Tumblr blogging. While they never said much at first, they seem to be putting in an effort to establish contact instead of pushing everyone away. It’s a work in progress, and this isn’t even mentioning that Succession War thing going on.

Leorio: Status: sad and gay in the medical bay. Will this attractive bicon ever get Kurapika to accept their love for him? The answer is: probably yes, surprisingly. Who knows, maybe he‘ll have a cure for cancer and a significant other by the time this is all over.

Kalluto: Kalluto, member of the Phantom Troupe, is subject to difficult times, especially after their abusive brother Illumi joined the Spider as well. They patiently await and hope that Killua might come to rescue them. Maybe then they might be able to make origami with the brother they actually care about.

Meruem: Meruem is, to put it basically, dead. Despite this minor setback, he’s found his way to blogging like everyone else. As it turns out, his insanely powerful nen (already amplified by his resurrection and growing stronger after death) managed to retain a piece of his consciousness, which now connects to Palm’s cellphone (currently in Pouf’s possession). From here, he can connect to the internet. He has no corporeal form and has been deemed harmless by the Hunter Association.
