No. Carewyn honestly grew out of sleeping with stuffed animals rather early -- she stopped at the age of three, not long after Jacob first went off to school. She was much more prone to tucking her Paddington bear into its own tiny "bed" on the windowsill under a spare scarf rather than hugging it herself as she fell off to sleep.
6. Sandwiches or soup?
Carewyn loves soup in the wintertime. Her mum Lane was especially prone to making up a pot of Scotch Broth on cold nights, and Carewyn ends up learning more vegetarian-friendly soup recipes after becoming legal partners with Orion.
20. Who's your MC's non-NPC bestie? Any other MC?
Well, for one, Jules Farrier @cursebreakerfarrier is Carewyn's honorary Slytherin Sister! She could see no one better suited to be Bill's other half. Carewyn also befriends fellow Slytherin Night Rhea @night-rhea through Quidditch friendlies and Ravenclaw Cato Reese @catohphm through baking in the kitchens and both Sarahi Silvers @dat-silvers-girl and Wendy Gordon @drinkyoursoupbitch post-Hogwarts. Carewyn's brother Jacob also becomes close with Sarahi's brother Jacob and Ellie Hopper's family @thatravenpuffwitch, especially her grandfather, Lugh Hopper.
21. Does MC prefer Muggle or Wizard Music?
Ugh, Carewyn would HATE being asked this -- because yes, although she has more favorite Muggle bands than wizard ones, that's largely because the Wizarding World's music scene is so much smaller and less diverse, compared to the Muggle World's! She adores the Weird Sisters and deeply appreciates the talent of artists like Celestina Warbeck, Lorcan D'Eath, and SpellbđŽund, and yet she also loves the Eurythmics, Elton John, Queen, KISS, AC/DC, David Bowie, Carly Simon, and so many others. She hates the thought of having to choose, because if the Wizarding World's music scene could just open themselves up more to different influences the way the Muggle music world has, she thinks they could be just as great.

6. Are they in any clubs or extracurricular activities? What about Quidditch?
Candy is in the Frog Choir since her third year, and it's her favourite extracurricular activity. She ocasionally joins the Alchemy and Art Club, with Penny and Badeea, and is quite an active member in the Music Club.
She joins the Ravenclaw Quidditch team due to a bet she lost with the Captain in Year 4. Her skills with the broom were unmatched, but she was terrible at aiming the Quaffle and having the enough strength to throw it to her teammates. She got better with practise, and with some training she got with Erika Rath. She ended up leaving the team on her sixth year due to her accident, leaving the spot to a new player to come. Rowan joins the team as a Seeker later on.
Paula is a very active and threatening member in the Dancing and Duelling Club with her best buddy Diego Caplan. They both love standing out with their spells and their strategies, their steps and dancing styles, any type they like. That's how they met, actually, since they have a lot in common. Paula also becomes a Prefect in her fifth year, very sweet and caring towards the youngest Hufflepuff students, and a bit boosy when it comes to older students.
Paula started with the hang of Quidditch in early days, in her second year. She goes from Chaser, to Beater, to Keeper and Seeker. In the end she becomes the Hufflepuff Beater, a quite scary one since she's known for having physical strenght.
She's quite friends with Skye Parkin, as they share the same hairstyle, personality and hatred towards Erika Rath. They both love getting on her nerves and taunt her on quidditch games. She also has a big brother/small sister relationship with her Captain Orion Amari, she thinks he's a nerd and talks weird, but respects him and will throw hands for him.
...It's a bit funny seeing how the two sisters are on different teams, and both teams are rivals. Of course Paula won't go soft even if her sister is against her. She's known for hitting the Bludger even harder when she's aiming to her sister, at least that's what Murphy McNully says when he comments the game.
10. How studious are they? What kind of studying strategies do they use? Do they have any study groups with their friends?
Candy is not keen of studying because of her lazyness, and she's smart enough to remember everything she wants. She usually doesn't study unless it's something she really needs to. She won't learn it straight up from a book, she likes to listen to other people explain it in their way. She loves hearing Rowan's lessons, they're quite entertaining and she learns a lot from her friend. She and her best buddies Copper and Khanna would study together in the Library and their Common Rooms. She also hangs out with Talbott to learn Herbology and Transfiguration.
Paula... is not studious at all. She does NOT like and she wishes books would burn in Hell. She finds a really hard time studying for subjects she's not good at, like Potions, Transfiguration, History of Magic and Herbology.
She asks a lot of help in order not to fail her exams. Her sister doesn't mind in reuniting with her so they can study together. Paula's friends also help her a lot, but they easily get distracted and end up not studying at all.
Someone that really helps Paula is Barnaby when it comes to creatures. They hang out together in the Magical Reserve and take care of all the creatures they can find, it's really fun spending time together.
17. After they graduate, do they fall of the map and keep a low profile? Or do they continue to exist in the public eye?
Candy keeps a low profile after she graduates. She doesn't want to look for a job as she want to have some rest after everything that happened. The Daily Prophet makes it really hard for her to stay out of the public eye by mentioning her name and the things she accomplished in Hogwarts. However the news emphasizes on her sister more so it's a bit easier to go unnoticed. Even after the Battle of Hogwarts, she prefers not to grab any attention.
Paula continues to exist in the public eye by becoming an Auror inmediatly after she graduates and being a very active member in the Order of the Phoenix. She's very known as the hero that saved Hogwarts from dark wizards, and from being outstanding in her job of capturing evil people and bringing them to justice. She does like the attention and the compliments she usually gets from her teammates, but she'd like to be left alone for a moment and enjoy some time on her own with her family.

Charlie adjusted the collar of his shirt while staring at his reflection in the bathroomâs mirror. Poking his head out of the door that connected to the bedroom, he checked the clock and hurried back into the bathroom to dry his hands with a towel.
He heard a soft bell coming his way and found Grimoire, Kateâs beloved cat, by his feet.
âI know, I know. I still have a few minutesâŚâ
Grimoire hissed in disappointment and disappeared again.
Charlie cleaned the remains of the shaving cream that were left on his jaw and nodded at his work before heading to the fireplace in the living room, where Grimoire was pacing.
He chuckled at the invisible circles that the cat was making.Â
With the floo powder in hand, he kneeled next to Grimoire and tried to concentrate on the words that Kate indicated him to say.
Durmstrangâs chimneys were not connected to their home in Romania, but she said to give her two weeks and, in that time, true to her words, found a way to connect them.
âDoorm-strang.â He pronounced, throwing the powder to the logs. The green flames appeared, and he waited for her face to pop out of them.
He rubbed his suddenly sweating hands on his thighs while staring impatiently at the fire. Grimoire had time to spin several times around him, making him consider locking the tedious animal inside his closet. Giving it a second thought, the idea of having to deal with him after that seemed equally, and even more horrible.
âHey, youâ Kateâs voice dragged him back to reality.
He knew he had the stupidest grin all over his face and prayed for the green fire to distortion it a bit. He observed her features: her forehead, her nose, her impossibly long eyelashes, those thin but very well-shaped lips, back again to her moderately thick eyebrows and the gorgeous honey eyes that gazed at him. He couldnât see her ears, or her neck, probably covered in all of those tangled waves he loved spending hours combing with his fingers.Â
His eyes darted back to her lips, now moving again, but he couldnât identify what they said.
âCharlie? Is there something wrong with your side of the floo? Can you hear me?â
The crinkle between her eyes formed like many times before, and he smiled at it.
âI can hear you, love, loud and clear.â
âHow have you been? How are you?â Not even the flames could hide the concern.
âIâve been better. Itâs ah... somehow more difficult being away after living together than... you know.â
He heard how she shifted in her place and tried to get more comfortable.
âI knowâŚâ
âI have been busy, though, working, writing, I did some cooking, but itâs infinitely more satisfying doing that for two rather than one.â
Her face lit up with the flames and expanded a little as she leaned in. If he concentrated enough, he could imagine that she got closer to him.
âDid you finish your papers?â
âNot yet, the text is there in my nightstand and I stare at it daily, waiting for it to write itself. Wait, someone wants to see you.â
Kate chuckled, and the flames danced around her when she shook her head.
âThatâs not writing.â
âItâs not? Well, maybe Iâll have to plan another strategy, then.â He said equally amused. He lifted Grimoire to the fire level, and the cat mewled in delight, seeing his master for the first time in months. He mewled again, and Charlie had the impression he was telling her his version of the story.
âHello, Grimoire, is that ginger over there being rude to you? Want me to give him a lesson?â
Charlie huffed and practically threw Grimoire out of his arms, before brushing the hairs out of his sleeves.
âBloody demon, that poor excuse of a cat of yours.â
âWhat happened? Youâve never had problems before?â She said with a chuckle.
âIt appears we are a tad territorial with your things. I wanted to sleep on your side of the bed these days, and I tried to trick him and put your favourite blanket on the couch, but he wonât have it. He always returns and curls up in your pillow, mocking me.â
âI miss you both, too.â
The light atmosphere evaporated and was replaced by a way too familiar sadness. They had walked this road before, and yet it seemed that it would never end.
Kate gave a sharp inhalation, holding back something that could have been words, tears or both.Â
âHow did you, ah... get rid of the smoke? Of the fire you saidâŚâ Charlie cleared his throat, holding back something that could have been words, tears or both.
âIâm holding my wand up the chimney, vanishing it. Do you know how hard it is to practise âevanescoâ on actual smoke?â She chuckled, barely believing how she managed to perfect the spell in just two weeks. âWhatâs the physical form of... smoke? I have no idea.â
She was just rambling, now. Not wanting to end the conversation, but guilty about not having anything to talk about, or better said, anything safe to talk about.
Charlie puffed out a disbelieving and proud huff at her brightness, and out of pure instinct he stretched his arm to caress her face, immediately regretting his dumb behaviour.
Kate grinned when he brought his fingertip to his mouth to soothe the pain.
âI see some things donât change, then. Always attracted to the fire.â
Catching her eyes, he was captivated by their sudden shimmer that had nothing to do with the floo powder.
âI like the warm feeling of it.â he whispered.
âYou want to be cautious; you might burn.â her voice sounding equally low, and in the silence of the night, it resembled a purr. But it might have been the floo interferences. He chose his words very carefully, selected them to have the desired effect.
âI would happily let the flames consume me.â
Grimoireâs angry hiss covered Kateâs shuddering breath, and she thanked Merlin when Charlie turned around at the cat and didnât see her face.
She looked up, probably checking her spell, and then behind her before focusing on Charlie again.
âYou must go already?â He intended to sound as disappointed as he felt, selfishly wanting her to stay at least one more minute.
âI have a bit of time. Thereâs plenty of healers here, and night-shifts are relaxed. They will survive without me. Now tell me, are you putting on enough sunscreen?â
Charlieâs entire face brightened at the question and proceeded to tell her the amount of work heâd been putting on the sanctuary.
âSome of my teammates have been asking about you, you know?â
âReally? What did you tell them?â
âThat you were on a trip around Europe. I donât think they believe that. They think we broke up.â
âStick to the Europe story. Itâs pretty accurate, anyway. By the way, are you familiar with the book... uh... The Tales of Beedle the Bard?â Her voice above a whisper.
Charlie was taken aback by the question and answered full of curiosity.
âSure thing, love. Mum used to read it to us when we were kids. Why the sudden urge to read bedtime stories?â
âSomeone recommended it...â
âWait... youâve never read it? Itâs very famous.â
âI donât remember there being any childrenâs stories in my house. Arithmancy books, yes.â As the conversation came to a halt, Kate settled down on the floor, adjusting her arm.
âI hope youâve been watering my plants...â she threatened after she settled.
âEach and every one.â
âAnd have you been moving Ypsilon? He likes the sun at all times, otherwise his leaves close up and then he gets mad at me.â
âPlants canât get angry, Katie,â he let out with a laugh, âand yes, every day; in the morning I put him by the window with white curtains and in the evening on the chairs on the other side.â
âThat they canât get angry, he says. You paid little attention in herbology and it shows.â
âYou left me an endless list of instructions for each pot and Iâm following them to the letter. If you think Iâm not doing a good job, come home and see for yourself.â
The smirk that had planted itself on her face deflated to leave only a sad smile.
âI would love to...â
Charlieâs expression suddenly darkened. He adjusted on the carpet to be more comfortable, but Kate noticed the agitation. She gave him time to say what he had to say and after a long sigh he spoke again.
âKatie, youâve been receiving letters... letters from your father.â
âHave you opened them?â
âOf course not. But thereâs three of them nowâŚâ
âBut... Oh, shit.â Charlie frowned and leaned into the fire. âA few weeks ago someone from the ministry came looking for Igor Karkarov,â Charlieâs eyes opened like plates âHe must have recognised me. I know he was from my fatherâs department.â
âWhat are you going to do?â
âMe? Nothing. Well, my job. The important thing is what you do. Open the letters. Probably heâs just asking why I donât respond. Send an owl saying I have a lot of work.â
âWhat if he comes here?â Kate snorted.
âJoseph Williams? Getting his trousers dirty to go to a cabin? Donât worry, he wonât bother.â
âIâm worried, Kate. What if something happened?â
âAll the more reason to read them. Donât tell me anything, donât send me anything, I donât want to know anything. The less traceable, the better.â
âKatie, weâve been sending each other letters for over a month.â
âI know...â They were silent for a few moments, listening to the crackling of the flames. Kate adjusted her arm again, moving the fire, and inhaled to speak.
âDonât tell me we should stop because Iâll have a heart attack,â Charlie rushed before she could say anything.
âNo, itâs just... things can get ugly real fast and I donât... I donât want them to get to you.â
âIâm not the one who canât go home. Besides, if someone intercepts our letters, what will they find? Dumb words of love?â He managed to get a laugh out of her for the first time in two months.
âHey! Theyâre not dumb!â Charlie rested his head on the palm of his hand. âNo, theyâre not...â
âOne question.â Charlie started out of nowhere, âWhat do you know about giants?â Kate arched her eyebrows before pursing her lips, pensive.
âTheyâre usually big...â
âYes, thank you very much. You remember that HagridâŚâ
âYes.â
âDumbledore asked me to fix it...â
âNo. Absolutely not. No way...â
âKatie, I already went.â
âDamn you, Charles! Giants, are you mad?â She looked behind her shoulder and murmured, âWhat were you thinking?â
âAbout you, and on how useless I was feeling by keeping a low profile.â She tsked and shook her head. âIt didnât go well, but it was worth a try.â
âWhat made you think it would work, if Hagrid failed?â
âMy charm.â He threw a proud smirk at her, trying to tease her a bit. She shook her head again, this time trying to keep the corners of her mouth from curving.
âAre you all right?â She asked in a completely different tone.
âA little bruised, but fine. Though I would have preferred you being the one who healed me.â
âSweet talker.â She accused. He flashed her a grin again, attempting to make her forget his little adventure.
âSo theyâre on His side, irrevocably, right?â Charlie slowly nodded.
Asking her to wait, he reached for the flu-powder bowl, and threw a handful into the fire, rekindling the green flames.
He looked at her again, without saying anything. The fire was the only thing that lit up the little room in his home, and if he concentrated enough, he could imagine that she was there with him; reading or writing, both of them in silence, enjoying a quiet night.
âWhatâs wrong?â She whispered.
âNothing, just looking at you. Lovely views.â
Kateâs face contorted in worry all of a sudden. She ordered him to be quiet with her finger against her lips and turned around. He saw the back of her head for one solid minute before she faced him again.
âSomeoneâs outside,â she whispered, âI need to go now. I promise weâll talk like this again.â
âKatie... Kate!â She looked at him with fear of being caught and with a pointed look, hurried him to talk.
âI love you.â
She softened, and a hint of a sad smile appeared on her face. He watched her close her eyes and take a deep breath.
I love you, too
He barely heard her, but her lips didnât move at all, and he had to blink several times to register what was happening. It felt like she was there, right next to him, and in his head, and everywhere.
âHowâŚâ
âA connection. An unbreakable bond lets the mind do wonderful things. And the vanishing spell isn't the only thing I've been practising.â She checked her back again and returned to him once more before grinning. âYou look handsome, by the way, as always.â
And with a wink and a smile she left him staring at the now cooling logs, touching his recently shaved face and with a devastated expression that would stay with him for the next months.
âThanksâŚâ he whispered into the night.
She glanced around to make her eyes adjust to the darkness and picked up the heavy skirts of her uniform so that she could stand up. Groping around, she approached headmistress Rhodeâs desk and opened the top drawer. Feeling only papers and parchment, she closed it and opened the next.
Kate made the remaining smoke disappear quickly, as well as the burned logs. She raised her hand to her necklace and then pressed it against stomach, thinking that perhaps, if she put enough pressure, she would make the horrible feeling in her body disappear.
Something cold touched her hand. Bingo.
She lifted the bottle and extended her arms before pressing the valve at the end of the tube. The characteristic smell of the headmistressâ office flooded the room, making all traces of the smoke disappear.
She grimaced at the new fragrance and quickly returned the bottle to the drawer. Just as she was closing it, a new set of voices echoed through the door.
She stood very still, at first, hearing them closer and clearer.
She hurried to her feet, and at her haste, the corner of the desk collided with her hip. Taking her hand to her mouth, she pressed her eyes so hard that she began to see stars.
When the pain became tolerable, she went on her way to the door and bent over the doorknob. Moving the flap that covered the lock, she dared to look.
âYou canât get very far, Marek.â
She could make out Libor Marekâs legs, limping rapidly out of reach of his pursuer. Another pair of legs appeared beside him and Marek halted.
âYouâre a lunatic. All those weird herbs of yours canât be doing you any good.â He lowered the volume of his voice as he stood in front of the door, yet the irritation was evident in his tone.
âIâm only going to ask you once...â
âYou mean, âonce moreâ...â
âIâm just saying, if you need painkillers for your leg, donât steal ingredients. You can ask for them. I didnât say anything the first time, but itâs getting repetitive.â
âDonât get amiable with me, Jorgensen. I didnât take anything from your stinking office. Maybe you should ask yourself who decided that poisoning teachers is the order of the day in entertainment.â
âWell, that would be perfect, wouldnât it? Youâd kill two birds with one stone. You never liked her."
Marek didnât respond. His legs turned away from the potion teacher. Although he said one last sentence, Kate could only make out the word âcretinâ.
Jorgensen stood in front of the door before turning around and walking away in the opposite direction.
Kate let out a long sigh and squeezed her wand more tightly. With a grimace, she lifted the latch of the door and pulled. She tiptoed out of the room, trying to avoid the heels of her boots to touch the floor, and slipped through the shadows. To the rest of the world, she had never been there.
She walked through the halls calmly and quietly. The floating candlesticks barely lit the way, enough to keep from tripping.
Darkness had never been a problem for her. In fact, it was preferable. Everything was different; the people seemed good, the problems insignificant, and the world was at peace.
However, everything was out of the ordinary now. Even the night could not avoid that feeling of being watched. There werenât too many pictures on the walls, but if the stone had eyes, Kate was sure it would squint as she walked.
Iâm not very good at this spy stuff, she thought. Suddenly the question she had asked Astrid Rhode on her first day echoed in her mind.
Why me?
Iâd never get a clear answer from Dumbledore, that was clear. She could only resign herself to accepting her mission.
Before entering the infirmary, she sniffed the inside of her elbow and shirt collar, and when she saw that Astridâs potion to eliminate odours had worked, she plastered her healing face on and opened the hospital wingâs doors.
With the events of the past two weeks related to the herbology professor in mind, she went over to Flavia Hodgesâ bed to review her status report. Just a few days before, Flavia suffered another accident; she rolled down the stairs in, what appeared to be, a moment of distraction on her part.
Poisoning. Unknown. Possible Weedosoros. (Symptoms: convulsions, foaming at mouth) - Antidote for common poisons. Effective.
Anxiety attack. - Calming draught. Effective.
Hip fracture- 3-4 days, Skele-gro. Effective.
Looking up from the paper, she observed how the teacher moved in a restless sleep. As she approached to blow out the candle on her bedside table, a hand grabbed her tightly at the wrist.
Professor Hodges took a deep breath; her eyes were wide open, and they looked at Kate with a horrified expression. With her free hand she gestured frantically, and her mouth opened and closed, trying to pronounce the words she so desperately wanted to convey.
âProfessor Hodges, breathe with me.â Kate tried to get Flavia to compose herself, but she was getting more and more agitated.
Some sounds came out of her mouth, and Kate sat down on the bed.
âWhat do you want to tell me?â She put her hand on her forehead and didnât need a thermometer to know that her temperature was not normal.
âI need help! Fever-reducing potion and... and more antidote!â She screamed over her shoulder, not caring if she woke up other patients.
Two mediwizards rushed to the cabinets to provide the necessary potions. Kate reached out her hand that wasnât being squeezed by the teacher and flew a cloth hanging from a chair on the other side of the room.
âAguamenti.â She mumbled. The cloth became wet in her hand, causing several drops of water to travel to her elbow. She placed the cloth on the teacherâs forehead, who winced at the contact.
The promised potions arrived quickly, and the three mediwizards set about healing their patient. Flavia resisted, squirming and holding Kate tighter and tighter.
âIg...â She put her index finger just below her eye for a second before dropping her hand.
âYou saw something. What did you see?â Kate insisted.
âIg... ov...â
âIâll give you whatâs left of the calming draught.â Kate heard her partner say.
âThereâs nothing left but that?â
âDonât give her anything yet!â Kate interrupted. âProfessor. Professor Hodges. Look at me. Do you mean that...â
Before she could finish the question, one of her companions raised Flaviaâs head and made her drink from the bottle of the potion that would take effect in a few seconds.
Kate stood up and as she watched Flavia Hodges go into a deep sleep, two dots connected in her mind. It was possible, and almost certain, that Professor Hodges had had an encounter with the Death Eater Igor Karkarov, and that he was roaming the castle at that very moment.

8, 16 and 17? Love reading Vega and Talbott's momentsđ¤
Aw, THANK YOU! I honestly feel bad rambling about this two because, like, who is going to read all that? So it makes me so happy that you enjoy reading some of their moments đ I already answered questions 8 and 17! So here you have question 16:
16. Have they ever had a fight? Was it small or big? How did they solve it? Theyâve had two big fights that lead to them breaking up for a while. The first one happened at the end of their 5th year, after she came back from the Portrait Vault. It finally downed on Talbott that she was putting herself in so much danger, and he panicked. He had lost the people he loved the most, and he couldnât do that again. But at the same time, he knew he couldnât ask her to stop looking for her brother and searching for the Vaults, it was her life. So he decided to break up with her: he felt like he never really fitted in Vegaâs life, and he was scared losing her and having to go through that pain again. Better to stop it before he was even more involved with her. Vega tried to make him reconsider to no avail, but in the end decided to give him some time.
They had a miserable summer apart, and at the start of their 6th year they were friendly but distant. It was McGonagall and Penny that finally made him come to his senses. Penny made him realice that he was already in love with her and if something happened to her in the Vaults, he would suffered the same, probably even more, feeling guilty that he hadnât been by her side. McGonagall shared her own experience, after all, she had lost her husband a few years ago. After that, Talbott realized how stupid he had been and apologized and ask Vega to get back together.
Their second fight was many years later, after the Death Eaters attacked them at Bill and Fleurâs wedding. When they got home, Talbott insisted her to run away to America, but she didnât want to. Talbott had been on edge since he learned Voldemort was back, and this time he wasnât going to let Vega put herself in danger. They broke up again, after she said she wanted to fight and keep helping the Order, and there was nothing he could do. Still, Talbott tried his best to keep her safe, so he convinced Kingsley she would be more useful helping Charlie to recruit people to their side, and she was sent to Romania. What happened until they got back together is a rather long and painful story, but they always knew that, after the war, they would find their way back to each other, because they were meant to be. And they did.
1. Do you have any faceclaims for your MC and Jacob?
Alexander doesn't have any faceclaim.
But Jacob's appearance was copied from the image of Khan Batu, Russian artist Phobs' Blog
(Some facial features have been altered)
4. Is Jacob physically and/or mentally different after he is released from vaults? How does he change?
Yes. After Vaults he has changed. Jacob used to believe in his own magnificence, which made everyone very angry. He lures everyone by believing in the power of his mind. Jacob didn't feel compelled to answer any questions: everyone knew he was smart and wondered why he hadn't gotten to Ravenclaw.
After Vaults, he hates his beauty and generally does not consider himself handsome. Jacob thinks he was ruined by his own beauty and intelligence. He was too perfect and wanted to make a freak of himself, but it didn't work. Weak will did not allow to put out to itself eyes and to sew up a mouth.
