Blu Christmas Holiday Movie Asplosion 2022! ⛄ Chapter 43: Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas 🦌 The original and still the best version, even if it's less than a half hour long. It is very fittingly considered a classic. It crafted brilliantly, from an impressive confluence of talent, and holds up to this day. The combination of Dr. Seuss (the creator), Chuck Jones (the director), Boris Karloff (voice of the Grinch and the narrator), and the song, as sung by Thurl Ravenscroft (famous as voice of Tony the Tiger for many years), it just, well a very impressive combination. [Further disclosure, at this point I'm like a good dozen or more movies behind on my posting than my watching- though this probably isn't terribly surprising news, considering it's the day after Christmas, the last night of Hanukkah has ended, etc...] 🌲 Blu Christmas Holiday Movie Asplosion 2022! ⛄ Chapter 33: How the Grinch Stole Christmas 🦌 On to the next best version of Dr. Seuss' classic. I've generally enjoyed this live-action version (as changed as it is) of the story for some years now, though there was a time earlier on where I let a couple of the more slightly embarrassing/stupid moments weigh against it more than they should, but it wasn't too long before I decided that actually tend to rather enjoy it. Anyways, I already had this one in 4K (I think I got it last year), and while like most of these movies, it looks slightly better on my current setup, I will still say, it does look good, but I could swear a good portion of it is a little darker than I remember of the blu-ray.
