Howlithe and Arctinine
Vinter Region Convergent Pokemon, Howlithe and Arctinine. There are two versions of this fakemon the 'Ancient' Version and 'Modern' Version.

In the Vinter Region their is large areas of unexplored land which is said to hide/shelter undiscovered and ancient long thought to be extinct Pokemon/Fakemon.
This is where the frosty and hostile Ancient Howlithe and Arctinine lurk, in mountain caves and the old ruins of a people that disappeared 3000 year's ago. These Pokemon are wary of humans but don't take that wariness to mean weakness these are powerful Pokemon that will attack/fight back if they see a weakness in you.

After many generations of living and working along side humans Howlithe and Arctinine went through a unexpected changes, almost becoming a completely different Fakemon entirely, these 'Modern' versions, are very friendly, loyal and are used a lot in expeditions and traveling the Vinter icy lands.

Okay so since coming up with the Vinter region I wanted to make a Ice type Growlithe/Arcanine, I just had this strong image of a icy wolf like Pokemon, up in the mountains hanging around the old remains of ancient buildings/settlements. Also I have this strong scene idea of someone mistaking a Ancient Arctinine standing still for a ice statue.
But what happened is that I had the image of the Ancient version in my head, but didn't draw it down, but instead got inspired by a dog sculpture which created the 'Modern' version. The problem is that I really like both ideas and decided screw it I'll keep both and funny enough it actually works for the story I'm building for the Vinter region.
'Modern' version is a combination of Saint Bernards/mountain rescue dogs a bit of the beta designs for growlithe pre-evolution for Gold/Silver games and this dog sculpture
