Are We Good?
So last night, I saw Wonder Woman and then rewatched BVS on DVD. You know what my favorite scene was from Wonder Woman? When Diana sees the horrors humans are capable of and she's distraught and confused and Steve is like, "Maybe it's not Ares, maybe it's them." And my favorite scene in BVS is Superman's funeral. I feel like both scenes speak volumes--loud, glass-shattering screaming volumes--about human nature. I love how just a few moments earlier in the movie, they were cursing Supes for all the destruction and what have you, telling him he doesn't belong, and then they go and give him a hero's funeral complete with cannons and bagpipes playing Amazing Grace and jets flying overhead. How fickle!
