So has anyone else here seen Bee and Puppycat: Lazy in Space???

I personally LOVE the show and find it so whimsical and cute, as well as endearing. I mostly watch it while I’m eating or doing something that doesn’t require a lot of attention.

One of the most underrated characters is Howell.

HOW DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT HIM?!?!

He’s adorable and a little bit bossy, but that’s what makes him funny! He’s also named after one of the greatest movie protagonists of all time, Howl Jenkins (from Howl’s Moving Castle), which is a popular character brought to life by Studio Ghibli. (And yes, I know there’s an HMC book by Diana Wynne Jones! I read it!)

Anyway, we definitely need more Howell content. This man is perfect! Literally! He runs a cat cafe with all of his siblings, HE TAKES CARE OF THE LITTLE KITTIES, and he’s so hilariously absorbed in how beautiful he is. Just look at that fluffy hair!!

If you needed more convincing, Howell is voiced by stand-up comedian and voice actor Kumail Nanjiani, who also did the voice of Prismo in Adventure Time and the voice of Celebrity chef Skip Marooch in Bob’s Burgers.

Howell has several appearances in the show, and we know these facts about him:

He’s the fourth oldest Wizard sibling. (Merlin, Wesley, Crispin, Howell, Tim, Cass, Deckard)

He’s 29 years old and has his 30th birthday in the show.

He likes to eat birthday cake in the morning.

He’s a cat person and drives a cat cafe-themed van.

His favorite things are spa days, shampoos for his hair, selfies, cats, going running on the beach, and bossing people around.

He only opened the cat cafe because he likes to boss people around and he also loves his kitties.

He’s very careful about his appearance and dreads getting gray hairs or wrinkles.

He lives in an apartment with the rest of his siblings and Toast.

He fired Bee for eating the food she was supposed to serve and napping on the clock.

He takes care of the financial aspects of running the cafe while also working as a server.

Howell was employee of the month almost every month.

HOW DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT HIM?!?!?!

…maybe it’s supposed to be implied that Howell did the room decor? I could totally see Deckard going to Howell for help with interior design. Plus, the more maximalist leaning and very hanging-heavy decor gives Howl Jenkins as well.
