How to Enable/ Disable CPU (Processor) Cores in Windows (MSCONFIG)
CPU or Processors cores in today's Multi-Core processors of Laptops/ Desktops can be disabled (Turn off or park cores) to:
1. Increase battery backup of Laptop, 2. Solve CPU Heating problems, 3. To run remaining CPU cores at faster speed, 4. To run softwares or games that run on single core or optimized to run on single core.
If you see some lag in running multi-thread applications after switching off processors cores, then, you can enable (Turn on or unpark cores) all cores again or switch to default settings later.
