The before-and-after of my troops. I’m currently waiting for a pauldron for my original Stormtrooper. In a weird way, I feel like the pauldron is an actual show of rank for it. After all, it is the first figure I pulled out of the box, and what prompted me to start the “one in/one out” style of collecting. In a strange happenstance, it’s also the only Stormtrooper that I acknowledge to have an actual name, aside from the ones that already have one (Phasma, Finn, etc…). “TK-419”, also known as “Gold Leader” (I promise, I’m not getting weird with my figures). Some slight backstory on the name: 419 is the model number of the drumsticks I use, and Gold Leader for when it’s pauldron arrives, I plan on painting it gold (gold being my favorite color other than black). It will hold the highest rank of my troops, and is essentially the "leader" of my collection by way of seniority. It’s not my favorite figure, but it does hold a somewhat sentimental place in my collection.
I’m pretty pleased with some of the custom work I’ve done. I really liked how the Hovertank Pilot came out, and the orange to white with the FO Stormtrooper’s pauldron. Although I’m proud of the paint job I did with the Scarif Trooper, I’m displeased with the shade of blue I used. It’s a little darker than what is seen in the film. I’m just too lazy to do anything about it. I do love the fact that I found a place to buy the Specialist pauldron for the Death Trooper, it definitely saved me $60 on having to buy a three pack from Target. Definitely beefed up the figure some too, although putting it on was kind of a bitch to do.
