After being frustrated with being the school’s outcast for his vibrant look on life and style he dropped out of school and started to become a dress maker in the NY ball scene where he met Frankie Knuckles. Soon he started playing aside Frankie Knuckles at Continental Baths in the basement of a hotel. This gay sauna hosted the sounds of everyone from Levan, to Bette Miller, to the Pointer Sisters you name it.
