The long journey through Desolace with House Stygian, and the refugees they saved from Teldrassil, was tiring. They had encountered Horde along the way towards Feathermoon, but nothing that would stop Stygian from getting the refugees to safety, and no Horde were going to stop Dardillien from getting to Feathermoon, not after receiving a letter from his sister via one of her imps saying she was going to Lordaeron to lay siege to Undercity. He needed to get back to Stormwind as soon as possible.Â
Stygian eventually made it to Feathermoon, unfortunately not unscathed, Dardillien being among the ones injured having taken a bullet to the leg. However, the worgen was not going to let that hinder him, as with any Gilnean he was proud and stubborn bordering on reckless, and he kept his injury to himself. It had been explained to him those in Stygian who needed to return to Stormwind could via a portal.
I can just take a portal back to Stormwind, have father remove this bullet in my leg, and tell him about Alyssa.. What is she thinking going to Lordaeron..  Dardillien thought to himself as he approached Lady Illayia Caliat, one of Stygianâs arcanists.
âWhere may I find one of the portals to Stormwind?â He asked.
âFrom me.â She answered.
âOh, of course. Whenever you plan to open a portal to Stormwind, please let me know. I need to get there as soon as possible.â The worgen stated, hiding the pain he was in.
âI may do such now. I am not limited to one portal an evening.â
âThat would be much appreciated, Lady Illayia.â
âVery well, let us find an appropriate place to do such.â She led Dardillien out of the building where Stygian was currently going to hold in Feathermoon. The Renâdorei then began channeling her arcane power in her hands until finally ripping open a portal in front of her.
âThank you.â Dardillien said giving her a nod as walked by and entered through the portal.
Going through the portal landed the worgen in the Mage Quarter of Stormwind. It was late in the night, many were already in bed, while Dardillien quickly made his way across the city to his townhome that he shared with his father.Â
I hope father has some kind of connections to get us to Lordaeron faster. Dardillien thought as he stepped up the door of their townhome and opened the door with his key.  âFather?â He yelled limping inside. No answer. âFather?â Dardillien yelled again heading up to his fatherâs room only to find he was not home..Â
No no no. Alright donât panic. This bullet needs to come out now.. I am going to have to do this myself. Dardillien thought taking a deep breath before heading to his fatherâs desk and rifling through it for bandages. As he suspected his father kept bandages in one of his drawers, the worgen grabbed them and headed to his room growing more and more anxious, he didnât think the bullet hit anything vital or else he would be dead already, but it couldnât remain there for much longer.
Taking slow deep breaths the worgen removed his belt, then his leather leggings before sitting on the bed. Grabbing one of the rolls of bandages, Dardillien tied it around his leg to help stop the bleeding, he then placed the leather belt in his mouth to bite down on, he knew this would hurt like hell and he was right. As he carefully dug his long claws into the entry wound he let out a bellowing roar of pain despite having bitten down on the belt, any neighbors would have been jarred awake by the roar from the worgen. After a few moments he was able to grasp the bullet and pull it out, he made sure to then quickly wrap his leg in layers of bandages to help stop anymore bleeding.
The pain was excruciating. Dardillien wiped the tears that had formed in his eyes and put his leather leggings back on, as well as his now bitten belt. He stood and took a few steps, almost falling over, before forcing himself to keep walking to get through the pain.
I donât know where father is so I am going to need to find another way to get to Lordaeron. I need to get there and stop Alyssa. Maybe I can find another mage to open a portal to Lordaeron for me? Dardillien thought as he made his way through his apartment and out into the city in search of a mage.
About an hour had past before Dardillien was able to find a mage walking through the Mage Quarter, he pleaded and asked if the mage could portal him to Lordaeron. The human mage refused stating doing so would go against the rules set in place by the Kirin Tor, rules that if broken come with severe punishments. Dardillien offered the mage money, and went on to explain that his sister was in Lordaeron, how he couldnât lose her again like he thought he did in Gilneas. His words pulled on the heartstrings of the mage as he reluctantly agreed to help, he explained that understood what it was like to want to protect a younger sibling as he had a younger brother who was lost in the war in Pandaria. the two of them went to a secluded location where, just like Lady Illayia, the mage channeled his arcane magic through his hands and then ripped open a portal for Dardillien.
âI canât send you directly to the war front. Itâs too risky, so you will have to make your way to the Alliance camp... Good luck.. I hope you can save your sister.â The mage stated as he stepped back.
âThank you. I wonât forget this kindness and how much you have risked to help me.â Dardillien gave the man a nod before stepping through his second portal of the night.
Upon arriving the smell of smoke filled the air, but the bulk of it could be seen in the distance just south of where he appeared from the portal. Dardillien shook his head not expecting the strong smell of smoke before dropping to all fours and taking off running south. He sprinted as fast as he was able for awhile until suddenly it hit him. Exhaustion. The worgen came to a complete stop, his vision beginning to fade in and out, so much had happened in the last twenty-four hours. No sleep, the long trek through Desolace, fighting the Horde, being shot in leg, the blood he had lost, the adrenaline rush had faded and everything was hitting Dardillien now.
He leaned against a tree, breathing heavily, âI canât stop, I have to find Alyssa.â That was the last thing he remembered before falling to the ground, unconscious.

Ayaidus sat atop the pig and whistle peering over the dark city, with nothing but torches lighting the distant rooftops. His hands twirled as he was watching the steeple of the Cathedral towering high above the city. His eyes flickered the usual purple hint seen in his worgen form as he spotted one of his members hanging high above. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary as her heart beat at a steady pace, he closed his eyes.
Come find me
His thoughts immediately broadcast-ed to the adrenaline junkie, her heart started to beat faster at the sound of his voice in her head. He watched as she slid down the towering heights and made her way towards him.
His silence soon came to an end as he heard the soft pad of leather boots across the rooftop behind him. He felt her heart racing.
She stood behind him. âAyaâŚâ
He continued to sit and watch the rooftops listening as she stood behind him seeming frustrated and scared.
âHow many people have rings like these, Aya?â
âAbout five.â
âAnd how many were in Stormsong Valley last night?âÂ
Aya paused a moment thinking about past members still on contracts.
âAbout 5 are out there.â
There was a pause in the conversation before Aya stood and looked the woman up and down, he knew she was gonna make a move. Her feet braced and so did he as she lunged forward and grabbed his collar, their height was noticeably different as her head came to his chin. Her eyes filled with anger and rage.
âI could have died, Aya. How could you make a rookie mistake like that?â
Aya let her hold him as he stayed calm understanding her anger, she was new to the society sheâll learn. Aya talked softly as he explained his test to see if she would keep her mouth shut and stay loyal on this mission.
âYou feckinâ rat bastard Aya! A test? They coulda shishkabobed me and you wouldnât have been there in time. They coulda cuffed me up and ânapped me. I didnât sell a part of my soul for shit like this.â Her hands would jerk at his collar and the thought of pushing him off the roof grew more tantalizing each second.
Ayaidusâ eyes grew in anger as she didnât understand the test. His eyes flickered purple but remained that color through his rage. He took a step forward and her grip lessened, he continued to walk forward pushing her with each stride as his bones stretched and he grew a foot in height. He was now covered in fur exposing his worgen form.
âI would never have let you die, I was watching every move. No one in my Society shall fall in vain and I would give my life rather than seeing one of you die on my contract. I Take care of those who show trust and loyalty to meâ his voice was a deep growl as his titanium like teeth showed in a snarl and his serrated claws stretched out.
Her anger seemed to subside as he noticed her heart calming and her stance becoming weaker. He slowly reverted to his human form as he readjusted himself and sat back down with his back towards her.
âWhat did you Lose?â
âFood and drink taste like ash, and I canât feel love.â
âWhat did you have to gain?â
âUnlocked potential.â
âThat sucks.â
âYeah⌠maybe if I knew how to read I coulda read the fine print.â
The pair would spend the rest of the evening conversing, getting to know each other and their new found relationship. Hhe learned that, the two of them were not so different after all, both in how they started, and how they got to where they were now. They laid near each other on the roof: sharing stories, laughing, even feeling sad, pointing out the stars. His faith stayed with her as he learned more about her and she passed his test.
The night was soothing, funny, and just a moment of vulnerability. His mind wandered at the thought of her selling her soul for something so important. After he left her laying on that roof he kept thinking.
I knew something so perfect was too good too be true

House Description
Guild Combat System - Note: Looks hard, but is very simple.
Last, but not least, for the Tumblr community.
                  Â
                  Our House in a Nutshell
Gaining a good reputation as an RP guild can be hard. As such, House Stygian strives to adhere to global standard of a drama-free environment. We cater to every type of schedule, and form events that will match anyone who seeks to join. We are particular of who we allow to enter our ranks, as we pursue a literate, and maturity standard for our members. This may seem restrictive, but if you can type coherently, and act like a logical adult (when you need to), you will fit in perfectly.
From oath nights every fortnight, where our members bind their honor to an allegiance with their house, to brawl nights, where members can lay out feuds for all to see, as well as test their meddle in varied combat. We cover most of the spectrum, when it comes to events. We also allow our members the opportunity to build their own events, and plot out their own storylines, for their fellow wolves to follow.
The Stygian family carries on a rich, dark theme. Building a dynasty from the pieces of a previous defeated, and fractured family, our legacy continues, tenfold in strength. With great leadership, we bear the banner of gold and crimson with pride.
The Banner: A golden, howling wolf upon a foundation of crimson. The crimson represents the blood that stains the field as a foundation for a pristine golden entity to arise. As such, the dark history of Stygian is accursed through years of bloodshed, only to formulate a house with pure desires, and a wealthy tariff of trade, and other reputable forms of business between other guilds and noble houses.
Our Mission: To better the great kingdom of Stormwind, and the Alliance as a whole. To do that, we raise our banner to humanitarian, liberation, and philanthropic efforts across Azeroth. We carry out military expeditions to combat, and defeat antagonistic groups that threaten those less fortunate.
You, or your character, will fit in House Stygian if...
Your character is attentive, and willing to be loyal to a cause.
You OOCly are a logical RPer, and do not mind the occasional roll-based fighting event.
You OOCly are mature enough to have a conversation without being offended, and having people walk on eggshells around you.
You OOCly are pleasant to be around, and do not cause drama on a regular basis.
You OOCly do not demand attention to be placed on your character as a hero for every situation, and do not attempt to take the spotlight from other RPers. Everyone has their moment to shine.
The Ranks of House Stygian
Every recruit requires an In-Character interview in order to gain an In-Character rank. The ranks are as follows:
The Countess (GM): Lady Natalie Brooke, heir-presumptive to House Stygian, and direct heiress of House Brooke.
Liege-Commanders (Co-GMs): Commanders, and hosts of the High Council. Above the divisionsâ direct councilors, they act as direct delegates of the countess, using the combined strength of the divisions to assure they are all utilized to their full potential.
High Council (Senior Officers): Division Leaders, and primary commanders of operations within the house.
Roseguard (Junior Officers, and commanders in the field): Â Stygianâs most trusted. Tried and tested through the Trial of the Rose to be promoted from the general divisions into the officer core. They are pulled from those that excel in any of the four primary divisions listed below.
Physician (Medical Division): Â For characters with healing capabilities; divided into combat medicine, and clinical medicine. For combat and non-combat individuals.
The Lady's Fang (Specialist Division): Operations; intel of House Stygian, led by the Operative Captain. They are the task force that detaches to complete reconnaissance and detailed operations. The tip of the spear.
Rose Battalion (Ground Forces Division): Specialized in ground tactics, the battalion operates as a well-oiled machine to lay siege upon enemy forces, and to out-maneuver their opponents in the field.
Vale Scholar (Scholar/Caster Division): The researchers, skilled incanters, and general highbrows of the organization. These gifted individuals are the lifeblood of House Stygianâs research and development core. Between offering lore lessons, studying artifacts and items of interest recovered from operations, and managing supernatural affairs as a contact between the house and the Kirin Tor, they often are the most busied of our order.
Contingent (Enlisted): Â Unproven combatants, or skilled workers; handmaidens, blacksmiths, chefs of House Stygian. Those who enlist in Stygian begin as a Contingent, until theyâve proven themselves in the field to be placed among the proven Stygians in their aspired division.
Ancillary (OOC rank): Alternate characters, characters awaiting interviews, friends of the guild, or characters ICly dismissed from House Stygian pending return (for story, or otherwise).

Those of House Stygian who were assigned to the mission had gathered at the consulate where Lady Illayia Caliat Stygianâs arcanist opened a portal to their destination..
The mist rested softly on the mountain peaks like a cloth draped over a pillow. The moonlight tried to break through the clouds, spilling onto the tall, green grass wet with dew. The vast valleys and glens that surrounded the landscape seemed endless. This is the lands of the ancients, and you can feel their presence in the very earth beneath your feet. The expanse of the lush greenery was breathtaking. The mountain peaked were topped with ivory snow at the very top, with cascades of green that clung to the rocky sides. Splashes of purple were scattered around from the thistle and heather that sprouted from the fertile soils. Along the valley under Stygianâs feet, yellow daffodils brushed along their ankles and spread in thick clusters as far as the eye could see. Sheep, freshly wooled, were grazing along their pasture. A small creek ran by, pouring out of the nearby woodland and filled the air with a bubbling melody of running water.
Up the road, there was a slate roofed farmhouse. The farm grew up out of the pale green hills as if it had always been part of the scenery. The house itself was a beautiful brick, the colors being the hues of the land herself, rustic brown striations on grey rock. Upon the rolling fields grew potatoes, turnips and other root related vegetables. Beyond the farm, several leagues off rested a quaint village. At the center of it all towered what appeared to be a church. Itâs height towered over the rest of the buildings that circled it, and itâs brick had darkened with age, giving itâs Gothic steeples an eerie appearance. On top of it all, at the very top where the clouds parted...the moon hung low and large, and blood red in color.
The moon drew the attention of everyone, as they wondered if it had something to do with why they were asked to come here and discussed why the moon was red.
Dilleana Escanlon, House Stygianâs Director of the Battalion, let out a low hum. "Well...to be honest." She paused and flickered her ambers skyward. "I have no idea if that's even relevant to what's going on here. The Circle caught wind of a rumor, which of course I then heard...and this isn't the first time I've asked help from Stygian in regards to druidic matters. But basically, this village has been plagued by something lupine in nature, started stirring up a lot of local lore...so it also could be nothing. "
âLupine? Like a worgen?â Dardillien asked as he turned to their leader.
âSo we have a feral worgen or a pack of rabid wolves?â Mozelle, the second in command behind Dilleana, also asked.
The group discussed the possibilities of what the creature could be, from a worgen, to a shaman wolf spirit, to rabid wolves, and even the wolf cult. After the discussion, Dilleana took to her bird form to survey the area around from the skies while Mozelle led the group on the ground.Â
As the group drew closer to the farm house, the lights inside had long since been blown out for the night. Had it not been so late, one might have thought that the home had all together been abandoned. However, by the look of the drying line of clothes outside, it was still indeed inhabited. Suddenly, The bells rang in a peal. Normally this would signal a wedding or Sunday service. But it was midnight and the clanging that echoed through the valley was chaotic rather than melodic. It was a warning. The farmstead showed no sign of movement in it as the bells rung out so the group turned towards the source of the ringing, they noticed in the center of the village an animal chained to an altar, and in front of it the body of a person. With Mozelle at the head, the group made itâs way into the village toward the altar to investigate.
As the bells chimed, the whole village came to life. Lights of candles flickered in the windows before citizens, painted Dwarves in nature emerged from their homes. They all began to flock to the church, looking at the outsiders in slight confusion, but it appeared the panic got the best of them. A few people seemed to stop on their way to the church however, and screamed in horror. One woman fainted by the altar, causing the rest of the citizens to gather around and chatter. Â
Mozelle, Illayia, and the other members of House Stygian gathered around the altar to investigate while Dardillien kept his eyes peeled and continued to survey around the village, checking for any suspicious activity using his enhanced senses to sniff the area and listen for anything. After a short time, the worgen returned to the rest of group to see what they discovered, and tell them the area seemed clear.
At the altar stood a sheep, chained to a metal stake in the ground. While most of the women and children rushed for the church, a few men were carrying the woman who had fainted off. The body that laid before the altar was female, young, and very bloodied. Long claw marks ripped down her torso, shredding the fabric of her dress. The bleeding had long stopped, and body just started to go cold. No pool of blood lay beside her, indicating that she had probably been moved.
"Looks like it was either a worg â which do exist in the area â or a worgen. I'd lean towards worgen, as both wolves and worgs prefer to bite their prey and clawing is supplementary to biting, whereas worgen are more inclined to claw." Mozelle spoke up as she examined the womanâs corpse, âShe wasn't killed here. The body was moved postmortem, as you can see by the lack of blood on the altar.â
"From my experience, worgen prefer to bite if they are feral, they tend to go for the neck or shoulder."Â Dardillien said in response to Mozelleâs remark.
The poor sheep was huddled as far away as he could from the surrounding people, shaking and wide eyed in his fear. At one point he tried to bolt, but upon the yank of his chain he began to pace. By now the group of men that were by the alter were startingto take attention to Mozelle and company. A few were specifically looking at Dardillien in an accusing manner. Hush whispered began to form before one dwarf addressed the group. He was a short, stubby old man, bald and black bearded with blue tattoos streaked across the shiny head. "Woo ye' be?"
Mozelle began to explain to the Dwarf, who seemed to be the leader of this community, that they were there to assist the Cenarion Circle in this mystery of the lupine creature, however the elder Dwarf was hard of hearing and had never heard of the Cenarion Circle and began ranting about how the village had a pact with the âhineâ and it broke it by killing the young female. Meanwhile, Dardillien took a look around the area at the scared people's faces as they stared and whispered.. pointing at him, Damn.. Why did I show up here in worgen form? I am an idiot, these people are terrified of a lupine creature.. Dardillien thought to himself before beginning to revert back to his human form. As he reverted, the townspeople seemed even more freaked and concerned. A few began to slowly approach him, hands raised in a defensive yet predatory manner.
"Would you like any assistance with handling this hine?" Mozelle offered to the elder Dwarf.
"Ye' already 'ot on right there~!" He threw up a heavy hand, pointing an accusing finger towards Dardillien. "And we gon' keep him 'round here. Ye' all be outlanders, outsiders. Suddenly ye' show up wi' a hine and we 'ot a dead girl? Somethin' ain't right!"
Mozelle shrugged. "I have no objections to you detaining him. However, we did not even enter town until after the woman was dead."
"Ah, likely story. But if ya' so sure it ain't yer hine responsible for this...then we -will- detain him until we know why the pact was broken!" The elder Dwarf yelled, âWe know about the hine! They can't go on to holy ground, silver is deadly, and normally a bite is fatal but a scarlet moon'll change ye!"
During all this Dardillien watched as the other Dwarven men approached cautiously, he did not resist and only put his hands up to show he meant them no harm. The Dwarves quickly grabbed him and pulled his arms behind his back, putting silver shackles around his wrists to keep him detained... he knew these silver shackles did nothing, but he did not want to cause anymore trouble by changing and breaking free, they were there to help these people. The men walked Dardillien to the same stake that held the sheep and secured his chains to it, pushing him to the ground.
After Dardillien was contained, he merely sat quietly while Illayia got the attention of the elder Dwarf and asked about the farmhouse they had seen up the road, as well as asking where the hine usually resides. The Dwarf answered all the questions, informing them that the house belonged to the Stonemillerâs, the parents of the girl who had been killed, and that the hine usually resided in a cave west of the farmhouse. Mozelle simply waved off the situation with Dardillien and explained that the rest of their group will go investigate the farmhouse, however the elder Dwarf still did not trust the members of House Stygian and had three of other Dwarves accompany the group to their destination.
As Mozelle led the group to the farmhouse, Illayia stopped and looked to Dardillien, âShall one of us stay behind to make sure Dardillien is kept well?âÂ
âIf you want.â Mozelle answered. With that, the others made their way out of the village while Illayia remained behind with Dardillien and the two Dwarves that stood guard over him.
"Bal'a dash. I see you have not used the familiar well."Â Illayia addressed Dardillien.
"What do you mean? I have used it a decent amount."
"You could have hidden away."
"I didnât think to. Besides, if I used it to go invisible when they began approaching that would have only caused more problems and suspicion..â He sighed, â Anyways, you should go help the others, they may need you if worgen are involved.  I will be fine here."
"I would rather not leave you here completely undefended."
A couple hours went by and the others had not returned, Dardillien lifted his head towards Illayia who looked around town as if counting and then she hummed quietly as she idly glanced toward the church. She pursed her lips and waved a hand, the arcanist worked an old hat trick and made it sound as if a wolf were echoing from behind the church itself. The two Dwarves that stood by Dardillien turned their heads. The one who was actually alert, immediately got up and ran towards the back of the the church. The other, having been digging for gold in his nose, looked confused for a moment before huffing and puffing after the other guard.Â
Illayia moved to Dardillien's side and took his arm, helping him up to his feet, "Let us make haste. I can only throw the sound so far before they realize it is but an illusion."
Dardillien watched as the two Dwaves ran off to towards the church, confused by what was happening, he then shifts into his worgen form breaking he shackles that detained him and following Illayia out of the village to safety. He followed the Renâdorei as they made their way back to their original location when they first arrived in the area through the portal. Along the way Illayia explained the situation, and what the others had discovered in their investigation as Dilleana and Illayia had been communicating mentally through magic...
The others had gone to the Stonemillerâs farmhouse where they discovered the the young womanâs bedroom window had been left open, but her bed was all made, so they suspected that she had snuck out earlier in the night. Their suspicion was correct, as the group discovered one of the Dwarves that had accompanied them was the womanâs lover, he had planned to meet her outside of the village and ask her to marry him, but he was held up working at his workshop and never showed made it. Dilleana had found a splattering of blood and torn cloth while observing the area from the sky, she informed the others before leading them to it. Once there, Miaâkua, a Draenei priestess of the House, used her abilities to peak into the realm of spirits where she discovered the truth about what happened. The young girl had been waiting for her lover to arrive when a worgen showed up and began to argue with her, Miaâkua was only to pick out bits and pieces, but heard the word âcheatingâ said and shortly afterwards the worgen went into a rage and killed the woman.
This meant two things. First, the worgen was not feral like they believed but actually intelligent... Second, this meant it was out of their jurisdiction, and they could no longer help in the matter. House Stygian was asked for help in the matter by the Cenarion Circle because they believed the issue was one involving nature such as a feral worgen, or pack of rabid wolves, etc.. however, this was just a case of murder, there was nothing they could do. The decision was soon made to abort the mission, save Dardillien, and evacuate the area.
Illayia finished explaining while her and Dardillien arrived the original destination and they waited for the others to return. This news upset Dardillien... he didnât like that they were just running away, but they did not have a choice and he had to respect the decision, however he wished the worgen could have been brought to justice for the murder of the young woman..
Several minutes later the rest of the group arrived after losing the three Dwarves that had accompanied them, Illayia began waving her hands in the air before finally opening a portal to Stormwind, and one by one everyone entered the portal returning to the consulate. Their mission a success and they did what they were asked to do, investigate the area and find out what kind of creature was plaguing the village.. However, Dardillien couldnât help feel like they failed since the worgen was not brought to justice, as his services were no longer required he headed back to his townhouse to get some rest.
(Mentions @housestygian This was a really fun event! Again thank you to Dilleana for hosting it, and I hope I somewhat did it justice I wanted to do it from Dardillienâs perspective and so because of this I had to cut down all the investigation stuff since he ended up being detained which was not expected. This post would have been much longer if I included everything. Hahaha.)

Thank you, everyone, for such an amazing turnout. We had loads of fun hanging out with you all, and weâre happy we were able to share one of our favorite WoW holidays with the WrA community. Iâm sad we werenât able to snag more screenshots as the night went on, and more people showed up. We started with our dancing and open bar, as well as the return of the Cards of Fate, a game of chance that received lots of love last year. Then we moved on to a wonderful, and funny skit and play performed by @caterinaprimrose and her fledging theater troupe! As promised, here are the tallies for our Date Auction, which wrapped up our series of events.
After we tallied our final amount, and we were able to distinguish the means of inflation between IC/OOC gold margins, we forwarded the full amount of 170,000 gold to <The Stormwind City Guard> as both an IC and OOC thanks for the hard work they put into carrying out the fun, yet unforgiving/strenuous RP that is our resident law enforcement of Stormwind. They also helped us in keeping the event organized both IC and OOCly, with the pertinent help of Percy Aldenhardt! The rest will be going to paying those who assisted in carrying out the event, for both vendors and entertainers alike!
Again, thank you all for your help, as well as your support! <3

The moon hung high in the sky above the trees of Darnassus, it was a beautiful city, one that Dardillien had not seen in five years when he left to find his father in Stormwind. The Worgen was just as awestruck by the city now as he was the first time he saw it, he actually missed Darnassus as it was like a second home to him and many other Gilneans who had fled to this city with their Kaldorei allies.
Dardillien made his way from the makeshift Stygian consulate to the courtyard just before the main gate that lead out of the city, there many Sentinels stood as they listened to orders from their captain and seemed to be preparing to depart for Darkshore. He tried not to interfere, and avoided the Sentinels as he walked to the old training dummy he used back when he was learning how to wield a sword properly with Garrett five years ago.
âFond memories of this old thing, I wonder where Garrett is now?â Dardillien spoke to himself as he eyed the dummy, old memories returning of Garrett teaching him how to use his anger and rage to channel it into fighting rather than let it consume him. It was something Dardillien desperately needed at the time, after the loss of all his loved ones in the Fall of Gilneas.
Dardillien took a deep breath before removing his gloves, shoulderguards, leather chestpiece, and shirt. He then shifted into his worgen form and began clawing at the training dummy. Slashing. Punching. Kicking. Even occasionally shooting it with his revolver. Every blow landed felt like a small part of his frustration leaving him, everything that had happened in the last week that was taking its toll on him mentally slowly fading with every impact. His relationship with Eralyne ending, having to come to war with Stygian and leave his sister behind, the hell Stygian fought through upon arriving at Darkshore, his fear of dying in combat, all of it fading away with every blow to the training dummy.
Hours must have gone by as Dardillien continued to wallop the dummy, letting his mind go blank and find a moments peace until eventually he grew tired and decided to head back to the consulate. He made sure walk by the Temple of the Moon.
Elune guide me, and keep me safe so that I can see my family again. I feel lost and afraid in these times.. Dardillien thought as he looked up to the Temple before continuing on his way back to Stygianâs consulate.
Feylai watched the keep from afar, keeping out of sight and watching for any sort of reaction to her crime. Even after a week, there was no sign her infiltration had even happened. The guard shifts remained the same, the patrol routes didn't change...and all the same vulnerabilities were there to exploit.
Bloody fel, she thought, why couldn't they just take the bait?
A few days later, after a hurried journey to Elwynn Forest, she observed a small camp from a tree, watching its inhabitants â all humans, as expected â mill about and prepare for their next score. It was clear from their gear that they were either brigands or mercenaries. Rudimentary breastplates, cheap swords, and pouches of gold handed out by their leader. The rough, scarlet-haired woman spent most of her time in her tent, sharpening her knives and polishing her armour.
The little elf was not without scruples, despite her rather unsavoury deeds not two weeks past. And so, she devised a test for her would-be targets. Instead of simply slaughtering them wholesale right then and there, she laid a trap. Donning her best and most colourful clothes, she walked by their camp, coinpurse jingling at her side. The perfect bait for bandits.
Then, she picked up a nearby rock and pocketed it. No need for expensive weapons with how her targets were armoured.
Like clockwork, the band accosted their mark, weapons in hand.
âOi, moneybags! To get past us, you have to pay the toll.â Â said the woman in front, oddly calmly.
Fey turned to smoke and formed behind her, hitting her in the back of the neck with her rock, hard. Then, as the woman collapsed to a heap, paralyzed, she turned and blasted the remaining bandits back with magic. She stepped again, and again, and again, striking with her stone each time. In less than five seconds, the whole band lay dead or dying by the roadside.

Back in her black armour, she travelled back to Stormheim, to her target. She infiltrated in much the same way she did last time, only more carefully. Instead of using a goblin glider, she used her own magical wings. Instead of climbing up normally, she shadowstepped from foothold to foothold, making not a sound. She brought with her a set of magical scrolls, tucked neatly into a satchel and padded so as to make no sound. She had already picked out her targets, so she moved with purpose, already familiar with her surroundings.
Between silence spells, efficient chokeholds, and forcible teleportation, abducting five specific guards was trivial. The difficulty for Fey came when she moved on to her second task. Â She left the way she came in, then scaled the cliffs laterally, making her way to the staging area bridge in the darkness. In the time between patrols, she went to work.
Within each scroll, she had inscribed a summoning spell, bound to the corpse of a bandit. She made sure to flay them beyond recognition beforehand, so as to confuse the investigation. Each guard she took was about the same build as one of the corpses, so perhaps whoever would perform the autopsy would misidentify the remains.
When she left, five flayed and bloody corpses were strung up beneath the bridge for all to see.
