I finally finished a drawing!! It's a tad messy but for a 2-year hiatus I'd say it's pretty good.
It was super fun to design a dragon version of Elias from Hearts of Titan (except for the fact that I didn't have the colors I wanted - I mean, seriously, out of 200 colored pencils, how do I still not have the right colors?) He was supposed to be grey (bc he loves Earl Grey and I love bad puns), but I couldn't find a way to shade properly with it, so purple it is!
Species: Bergamot Serenitea (one of many Serenitea variants)
Height (no mane): 14ft bipedal, ~5ft quadrupedal (he's bipedal as default because if he isn't, he's as short as Damien and he can't have that)

I haven't drawn in a hot minute and haven't finished a drawing in (I kid you not) over 2 years, so I decided to get back into drawing by making some sketches for the Hearts of Titan main cast as dragons! If you haven't heard of Hearts of Titan, definitely go check it out! It's an amazing animation project with tons of representation. There's a backerkit live now to help fund the project if you're able to donate, and they also have a Tumblr, @heartsoftitan!
These are definitely WIPs but I'd love to get out of my slump and make a full drawing of Team REKD as dragons! Also if anyone has any ideas for designs, please let me know!
I tried to do a dynamic pose for the first sketch of Kory, which was, to nobody's surprise, a bad idea because I'm not great with dynamic poses even when I've been drawing consistently. I didn't really like her design either so I made her a cobra, and I like Cobra Kory (Korbra? Korby? Oh gosh now all I can think of is Kirby) a lot better!
I couldn't decide whether to give Orion/Ryan a bit of floof on his head or not, I think it would look good and match the "tragic prince" aesthetic but fur is not my strong suit (hence the reptiles).
I like the 2nd version of Damien better as I think the cape tail is more unique, and I might add some fins because he feels kind of amphibious right now. That doesn't really match the sharp, bulky horns, but I'll burn that bridge later.
Part 2 (outline sketch) of Team REKD as dragons is done! Time to trace everything onto new sheets of paper and embark on the perilous quest of re-learning how to color properly.
Orion/Ryan is definitely going to be interesting to color because I want to blend indigo/blue/purple/black to mimic a night sky for his wings, but I don't really remember how to blend lol. I also tried to make them all have features of their canonical characterizations like Elias' Serenitea theme and Kory's pie (which she is about to yeet).
