it was 9pm and you were at a party. great right? well yeah, especially since you were there with your boyfriend niki. he had asked you nicely to come with him and who were you to say no?

“baby im gonna go sit with the boys okay?” niki said as he slowly released the hand that was lying on your waist. he smiled at and looked in your eyes. you nodded as you smiled and quickly gave him a kiss on his lips before you went off the sit with your friend, yuna.

“yn my love!” yuna said as you walked closer to her. “hey girl!!” you said as you sat next to her on the couch. you two were catching up on all the drama and all the news around the school, which you two normally did at lunch. “so you and niki?” yuna teased as she nudged your side slightly. “hes so sweet honestly, i really like him” you said as your eyes traveled to said boy. you smiled and turned your attention back to yuna. “i think we can all see, you two are jus too cute, i want what you two have” yuna pouted. you laughed at her.

while yuna was talking about her crush and their mini interaction, you felt the couch beside you dip. you turned your head and saw non other than yeonjun. you knew about him, everyone did. he was on the rugby team with niki. “hi” he huffed out. “hi” you said as you smiled at him.

unbeknownst to you, from across the room a certain someone was watching this whole interaction go down and didnt like it. he furrowed his eyebrows and clenched his jaw slightly. he didnt like how you were laughing with him. nor did he like how close he was sitting to you. “dude calm down, if it bothers you so much then jus go up there and do something” jake said after he saw how worked up niki got. “nah its cool” niki said without taking his eyes off from you.

“so you single?” yeonjun asked as he took a sip from his drink. “no, my boyfriend’s niki, you two are on the same rugby team no?” you said to him. “ahhhh niki! oh so you’re the one making him so happy lately isn’t it” yeonjun teased as he laughed at your expression. you started blushing and looked away for a moment. niki definitely didn’t like that. how could he make you blush like that? his own partner?

you were still laughing and enjoying your conversation with yeonjun when suddenly someone shouted your name. “yn” niki said coldly as he glared at yeonjun. “oh hey man i was jus-“ “shut the fuck up yeonjun. come on we’re going home yn” niki interrupted yeonjun as he held out his hand for you to grab. “but i thought-“ “lets go yn” niki said once more. you sighed and stood up. “sorry yeonjun, it was great to meet you!” you said as you smiled at him before niki grabbed you and walked out.

“niki what the fuck was that about” you said as you stood outside by his car. “get in the car yn” niki said as he walked to the drivers side. “no! what is your issue, cant i have-“ “get in the car yn.” niki said as he looked at you. you didn’t recognise the look he had in his eyes. it was cold, it wasn’t niki. you sighed as you got into the car.

on the way home you both sat in silence. it was awkward, to say the least. you didn’t know what happened and why he was acting like this but there was no way you were gonna let him treat you as if you were something he owned.

once you got home, niki opened the door and went straight to your room. “so you’re not gonna explain yourself?” you shouted slightly. “fine, im gonna go back to that party that i was actually enjoying.” you shouted and turned around, heading towards the door. “you better not” niki said as he started walking down to the living room where you were. “why? give me one reason why the fuck you decide we were gonna leave” you said frustratedly. niki kept quiet.

“unbelievable” you laughed and turned back to the door. “no” he said as he grabbed your wrist. “niki let me go” you said as you looked at him seriously. “why do you want to go back? so you can cuddle up to yeonjun again? so that he can make you blush? so that you two can flirt again? are you forgetting that you’re my girlfriend yn?” niki said frustratedly. “is this all because you’re fucking jealous? seriously niki? i didnt act like this when you had like 5 girls lining up to talk to you.” you shouted in anger. “that’s different” niki said. “how? how! is it different niki” you shouted in his face. “because unlike you i know when to fucking stop. i know not to fall for their traps. im fucking loyal yn!” niki shouted back.

you were taken aback. you heart dropped. you arent…loyal? tears started collecting in your eyes. “what” you whispered in disbelief. niki finally looked you in your eyes and he felt regret. the words left his mouth all too fast and he wasn’t thinking. it was in the heat of the moment type of thing and he didn’t mean it. his eyes widened at the tears that were dripping down your face. “yn i-“ “please just” you interrupted him as continuous tears fell down your face. niki felt bad. tears started brimming in his eyes too as you ripped your hand from his hold and walked towards the guest room. “yn” niki tried to call out for you again. you shook your head and laughed slightly. “and to think that i thought i was enough for you. please just leave me alone niki” you said sadly as you closed the guest rooms door.

niki sighed in frustration as he gripped his hair with his hands. he started sobbing. it was so hard that his heart started hurting. he cant believe the fact that he let his jealousy and insecurities take over him. his past relationships weren’t the best, and you knew that but when he was with you it felt different but he fucked up everything once again. oh how he wished he could turn back time. “im so sorry baby” he whispered while crying and soon he fell asleep from exhaustion.

“hey love” you whispered sadly. after about 2hrs of sitting in the guest room you decided to come outside for a snack but instead you were met with your boyfriend who was sleeping on the couch with tear stained cheeks. niki’s eyes slowly fluttered open upon you calling his name. you gently brushed his hair away from his face. “lets go sleep in our room okay?” you said softly to him. he nodded his head and got up while yawning. “im so sorry baby, i didn’t know what i was thinking” niki said as tears started forming in his eyes again. “hey hey, its okay, how about we go sleep and talk about this tomorrow morning okay? i forgive you baby, now come” you said as you gave him a comforting smile. he nodded and walked to your room.

once you both were settled in bed, he wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his head in your shoulder. “close your eyes and go sleep, im not angry at you i promise” you said as you kissed his forehead. “i don’t deserve you” niki said with his eyes closed. you smiled and played with his hair as he drifted off into dream land.

you smiled in awe at your boyfriend, who was sitting a few seats away from you. niki had invited you out with the rest of his friends and now you were sitting with yuna and chatting but missing your boyfriends attention, which was now on the boys.

“yn!” yuna called out for the 10th time. “huh?” you asked as you slightly shook your head and turned your attention back on her. she laughed at you. “you’re so in love, it’s honestly cute” yuna said as she smiled at you. “what?” you said looking at her. “then again, he also looks at you like youre his whole world. you two deserve each other” yuna finished as she took a sip from her cooldrink.

after what yuna had said, it had been stuck in your head for the rest of the day. you waved at the boys goodbye and hugged yuna before you and niki started walking to your apartment. he grabbed your hand in his and squeezed it lightly. “so how was it?” niki asked as he looked at you. “how was what?” you said in confusion. “today you know? with yuna? i was scared you weren’t gonna get along with her” niki said. “oh! it was nice, she’s very nice. i definitely have to hang out with her often! thank you for inviting me” you said as you blushed slightly and slipped your hand out of his. he looked as you with brows furrowed but you didnt pay attention, still in dazed by the fact that you love him. like actually do.

being in the friend zone with niki was a tough spot. the boy was always having mixed emotions. some days, it was like he was in love with you, others he didnt talk to you the whole day.

now it was no secret to your friends that you both liked each other. but unfortunately they also knew that neither of you were going to confess until the other did. which was a recipe for disaster.

“so yn and niki, you both confess yet?” heeseung said as he ate his lunch. you choked on your water, and niki started turning red. “we aren’t together!!” niki said after he calmed down. he looked at you for a reaction and saw you got slightly sad. “not yet..” you whispered softly for him not to hear, but he did.

for the rest of the school day, he couldn’t get what you said out of his head. did you feel the same he did? were you serious? all these unanswered questions floating in his head was driving him crazy. he knew he had to do something about it.

“yn wait up” niki said as he saw you leave the school building. you turned around and smiled at him as you waited. you wondered what was up with him now, he normally never stops you when leaving.

sunghoon took a deep breath and walked into the place he would be seeing for a bit more often now. being a highschool student wasn’t easy, especially if you were relying on your parents money. thats when sunghoon took the initiative to get a job, it wouldn’t be so hard would it?

well, 2 coffee shops and 2 restaurants later, here he is standing in the door way of blessed sight coffee shop, his last and only hope. being fired from your previous jobs can really bruise ones ego.

from that day that he got fired for the 4th time, he swore he would never look for a job again. that was until he caught a glimpse of blessed sight on the way home one day. to his luck, they were looking for more employees. so of course sunghoon took the initiative to sign up for the last time. he promised himself that if this job didnt work out then he decided that it would be final and he would never apply for a job again until university.

he sighed once again as he approached the counter of the shop. he looked around at the decor, and found it very amusing as it was all neutral colours with greens and had jus one very bright pink plush popping out. he smiled as he appreciated the inside of the shop.

“hi! you must be sunghoon?” your manager said as she popped out of no where. sunghoon jumped back slightly before nodding his head. “okay cool, im kim chaewon, the manager here!” she said as she stuck out her hand for sunghoon to shake. he looked down at her hand and shook it and nodded. “im about to take you to your mentor, they will be showing you around for the next week until you’re settled! if you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask me or one of the other workers.” chaewon said as she smiled at him once again. “lets go!” she waved him and started leading the way.

“yn! love!” chaewon said as she called your name. she smiled when you appeared. you smiled at her and quickly fried your hands with a cloth before turning to her and hugging her. “okay so sunghoon this is yn, they will be your mentor for the week” chaewon said as she stepped aside so that sunghoon could see you.

he looked up from his shoes and made eye-contact with you. he sucked in a breath as he studied your appearance. you were wearing your uniform, a plain white dress shirt with a pair of beige pants. your black apron in the front was covered in flour and had a cloth hanging from it.

to him, you were probably the most good looking person he had ever met. the way when you smiled while talking to chaewon, to the way your eye’s crinkled when laughing at something she said. his cheeks started turning red as he realised he was daydreaming.

“im sunghoon” he said after he cleared his throat and held his shaky hand out for you to shake. “yn, i hope we get along” you said as you smiled and shook his hand. you noticed how his hands were shaking but you thought it was because of the nerves.

“now i need to leave, sunghoon i promise youre in good hands, no need to stress about anything okay? we will help you!!” chaewon said as she smiled at sunghoon once more. “bye yn!” “bye chae!” you said as you smiled and turned back to sunghoon. “okay so lets get you some uniform first, follow me” you said as you guided him to the room with all the uniform pants.

after sunghoon had put on his uniform pants and an apron, he came out and looked for you. “lets go” you said as you grabbed him by the wrist and dragged him to your station that was currently closed. “starting off, do you have any experience working in a coffee shop? do you know how to bake?” you asked as you looked at him.

he was pretty. who were you kidding he was handsome. the way his platinum hair fell in front of his eyes and his moles on his face were pretty as ever. “i know how to make coffee and tea, i jus dont know how to make those art works on top. i also dont really know how to bake” sunghoon said as he rubbed the nape of his neck. “okay thats something i can work with. do you know how to make boba?” you asked. he shook his head no. “lemonade?” he once again shook his head no. “not even frappuccino’s?” he shook his head no.

you sighed as you realised this was gonna be a lot of work for you. not that you minded, because it definitely meant you could spend more time with the new hot worker of yours. sunghoon on the other hand felt bad for you. he knew almost nothing about coffee shops and baking, he doesn’t even know how he got this job with no experience at all.

“okay well we better get started, learning you all this wont happen over night!” you said as you smiled at him for some comfort. he nodded his head and started paying attention to what you were saying.

at the end of the first day, sunghoon had managed to learn how to make Frappuccino’s and boba. he was a fast learner, a dedicated one too. though he made many mistakes, you reassured him that it was only natural for that to happy on day 1.

“bye sunghoon!” shouted from a distance and started walking home. you didn’t live that far from the café, jus a few blocks away. “yn wait!” sunghoon called. he didnt know why he did but the least he could do was walk you home from all the help today. “let me walk you home” sunghoon said as he let out a breath. your eyes widened before you nodded.

walking in the moonlight home was very beautiful to say the least. sunghoon really was shining with the moon light that was reflected on him. he hands were in his pockets as he breathed out the cool air. “you did well today” you said as you looked at the moon. “i did” sunghoon asked as he looked up at you. you nodded while smiling. he thought you smiling was the prettiest thing he’s ever seen.

the following few days was a breeze. working with sunghoon wasn’t too difficult of a task, since he was dedicated and moved swiftly as you taught him. it also probably helped that you two had grown closer these few days and he was more comfortable.

today was learning how to make latte art. you saved the hardest for last since you knew it was gonna take him a few tries before he gets it 100% right.

“you ready hoon?” you asked as the nickname slipped out of your mouth. he blushed at the nickname and nodded his head. “i didnt know you thought about me” he teased as he walked over to where you were. “since when are you such a tease huh?” you said as you looked at him and crossed your arms. “i dont know” he shrugged as he walked even closer to you.

now you two were standing a few centimetres apart for each other. you looked up at him and sucked in a breath as you realised how close you two were. his lips parted slightly as he looked at your lips and then back at your eyes. you felt him lean in so you closed your eyes and leaned in with him.

your lips were about to touch until someone interrupted you two. “yn! sunghoon!” chaewon exclaimed as she popped out of no where. you two both pulled back abruptly as your face started turning red. “hi chaewon!” you said as you smiled, trying to ignore the fact that she almost saw you and sunghoon kiss. “so! its sunghoons last day as an intern, i jus wanted to see if hes doing well” she said as she smiled at him. he nodded his head and gave a small smile towards her.

“okay good! ill see you later yn!” chaewon said as she winked at you. you smiled and waved her off. once she was out of your sight, you let out a deep breath and looked at sunghoon, who was already looking at you while smirking. “what” you said as you got the milk ready for the latte art. “nothing” he said as he shook his head.

“yeah, and then your gonna- no sunghoon wait” you said as you tried to explain to him how to do the latte art. sunghoon sighed as he messed up again. “hey calm down” you said as you stood behind him with a hand on his shoulder, slowly rubbing it. “no need to rush” you continued in a soft voice for him. he nodded as he went back to trying.

“yeah, then you’re gonna tilt you cup and poor it in slowly, like that” you said as you guided him through the process. “okay here” you said as you placed your hands on top of his to help him. “jus shake it slowly like this and then lift the cup up and go straight through the middle.” you said with your hands still on his. his face was close to yours, you could see his beautiful side profile and his moles clearly. “i got it” he said as he smiled and turned his head to look at you. “mhm you did” you said as you smiled back at him.

“one last try okay” you said as you made one last latte for him. he picked up the milk and did as you instructed him to do. once he got to the end, he made a beautiful heart and gave it to you to look. “yeah exactly like this” you said as you inspected the cup and looked up at him. “well done hoon” you said as you placed the cup down and clapped your hands. “couldn’t have done it without you honestly, thank you” he said as he looked at you. you waved him off and laughed.

closing time was always the best. you had the whole coffee shop to yourself and could close up at your own time. however, sunghoon had been staying with you recently because he insisted on walking you home every night as a thank you.

you locked the coffee shop door and slowly made you way besides sunghoon. “well done on you week!! today was you last day, how are you feeling?” you asked as you smiled at him. “it was tough i wont lie, learning all these new skills but i think i got the best tutor so its all cool” he said as he looked at you while you laughed. “but i will say, ill miss being around you” he said as he looked away from you. “ill miss your company too hoon” you said biting you bottom lip to prevent a smile from forming.

sunghoon then stopped in his footsteps. you halted in yours too. “sunghoon? are you okay?” you said as you furrowed your eyebrows and walked closer to him. “yn i jus, ugh, look i think you’re really good looking and the energy you radiate is so comforting and i think i really really like you, even though its only been a week and i do not not wanna be around you” sunghoon said in one breath as he looked at you seriously.

you stood there shocked. you looked at him for a few seconds before finally answering. “sunghoon, its not too early because honestly i feel the same, but its kinda insane that someone as pretty as you is into me so” you said as you trailed off slightly. you then felt a hand grab you by your waist and pull you closer. you squealed in surprise as your hands landed on his chest.

you looked up at him once again. “then go on a date with me, please?” he asked whispering to you. “yes” you replied immediately as you smiled at him.

his eyes darted down to your lips and back up to your eyes. he then smiled before leaning in to kiss you. you closed your eyes at the feeling of his lips on yours. his lips were soft, and they moulded perfectly together with yours. you pulled away from the kiss as you rested your forehead against his. “you’re kinda cute you know that” you said as you smiled at him. “as long as im yours, i’ll always be cute to you” he said while kissing your forehead.

maybe working at this coffee shop wasnt such a bad idea after all for sunghoon.

“come one we gotta keep quiet” jungwon said as he pushed you outside the dorm door. it was your boyfriend, nikis, birthday and the boys wanted to celebrate it with him. but unfortunately niki had been a bit sad lately, as he didn’t have time to see you or even phone you, and you were ignoring his texts.

well, you weren’t ignoring them on purpose, you couldn’t really use your phone on an airplane. plus it was a surprise. since you knew he had been down lately due to his rambles to heeseung who told you, you decided to come out and visit him for the week. they anyways had off because of the world tour that had happened.

“niki!” jungwon knocked on his door. “go away hyung” he said as jungwon heard the bed sheets move. jungwon sighed and rolled his eyes before smiling slightly and opening his door. niki rolled over to look at jungwon, who had the rest of the members behind him, with a cake. “happy birthday to you” they all started singing.

niki smiled slightly at the thought that his members put a bit of effort in for him. they all gave him gifts too, he was forever thankful for his second family. they had managed to put a smile on the boys face after a week of being down. “hope you enjoy it niki bro” jake said as he placed a hand on his shoulder before walking out. the rest of the members followed after him except for jungwon.

“i have one last gift for you” jungwon said as he smiled at niki. niki looked at him in confusion, eyebrows furrowing in the process. jungwon had already gotten him something, something that was expensive might he add. “hyung its really no nee-“ “shush will you, jus take it please” jungwon interrupted him. “okay the gift is here, enjoy niki” he said before he walked out the younger boys room.

niki once again tilted his head in confusion. he saw a box left on the table they ate the cake from. he careful got up from the bed and moved closer to the table. on the box there stood, “to my only love, from yn” niki smiled as he thought about how you still made an effort to give him something. unbeknownst to him, you were standing right outside his door.

once he opened the box, there stood 2 bracelets. one with your name, for him, and one with his name, for you. he laughed as he remembered how he said he wanted a necklace with your initial on it. he picked up the piece of jewellery and held it in his hand. his smile slowly dropped at the thought of you not answering him anymore.

he sighed and put the bracelet back, before he closed the box he caught a glimpse of a note all the way at the bottom. he slowly picked it up and turned it around to read. it stood, “will you put the bracelet on me? - yn, p.s. look up” he furrowed his eyebrows before looking up at the door that was open.

his eyes widened. his jaw fell slack as the note in his hand fell onto the floor, long forgotten. was he seeing this right? there you were, standing in his doorway with his hoodie on. he rubbed his eyes to make sure he was seeing things right. “i promise im not fake” you said as you chuckled slightly, smiling at him.

he was frozen. his lips felt dry and so did his throat. it felt like forever since he saw you. he quickly got up and ran towards you, pulling you into his embrace tightly, placing his face into your neck. he breathed out a breath he didnt know he had. “youre here” he said into your neck. “i am baby” you whispered softly as you moved your hands from his back to his hair, softly playing with it.

niki had you in his embrace for about 5 minutes before you told him to let go of you. to his dismay, he had to. you walked out of nikis room, with a giant baby following you. you tried to grab your suitcase but was quickly denied as niki insisted he took it to his room for you.

after being rushed inti his room, he closed his door and climbed into bed, not before grabbing the bracelet box for you two. he quickly held out his hand and put the bracelet in your palm so that you could put it on for him. after you clicked in on, he grabbed your wrist and put your one on too, jus like you asked him in the note.

he then got comfortable on the bed and patted the spot next to him for you to lay. he sighed in content as he snuggled closer to you and had your hands playing with his hair.

“i hope you said thank you to jungwon for this, he was the one who helped me” you said as you looked down at niki. “i will tomorrow i promise, i jus want to spend my birthday with the person i love right now” he said with his eyes closed.

“was the reason you were ignoring me because you were traveling” niki asked after a while of silence. “yeah” you said. “sorry about that by the way, it was hard i wont lie but im here now” you continued as you looked down at him. “good, i was scared you were gonna break up with me or something” he said as he looked up at you. you frowned. “i doubt i’ll break up with you niki, youre the best” you said as you placed a kiss on his cheek. “good” he said as he laid his head back in your neck.

soon nikis breathing started to slow down indicating he was asleep. “i love you my boy, happy birthday” you whispered as you placed a kiss on his forehead. “i love you too, thank you” he said softly as he looked up at you. you smiled as you leaned down to kiss his lips. he gladly accepted it as he closed his eyes and relaxed in the kiss. he missed the taste of your cherry chapstick. you pulled away and gave him a another peck while smiling.

“lets go sleep now” you said as you pulled the covers over you both. he nodded his head before actually falling asleep this time.
