Time for another edition of my “Bitches, please” series!  

So, ES and trolls continue to post on both Sam and Mackenzie’s IG accounts that she must be able to travel with Sam because she is a “jobless loser.” Well, as @meiling1982 pointed out, what does that make Ashton Kutcher? He’s been photographed all over Europe with his wife Mila, while SHE is working, and HE ISN’T. Does that mean Ashton’s a “jobless loser,” too? Uh, that’s a resounding NO. He’s simply an actor, in between jobs, who has the savings and time to go along with her because he and their kids can’t bear to be apart--because LOVE. The same can be said about Mackenzie and Sam.                                

And. There. Is. Nothing. Wrong. With. It.

One actor traveling with their actor partner while he or she is filming is standard in the industry. Actors save their money so they have it in between acting jobs. No doubt Mackenzie has been saving and investing for years, and like, Ashton, has the luxury and good fortune to spend time with loved ones whenever they want. And let’s not forget Sam was spotted with a fan in Montreal while Mackenzie was there to film a TV movie. Did that make him a “jobless loser,” because he went to see his actress girlfriend on his down time? Of course not. Funny how the ES never mention that. 

So, Mackenzie goes to see Sam whenever she can, and Sam goes to see Mackenzie whenever he can. It’s called two actors being in a relationship and making it work...it’s called being in love. When people are in love, they want to see each other any chance they get. ES say they’re all about true love etc, well I can’t think of many things that are more romantic than flying all over the world to spend time with your partner. It is the stuff that epic love stories are made of.

And for those spewing the faux feminist crap saying Mackenzie must be “kept” by Sam and is “dropping her career” to be with a man. I strongly disagree, that that would be anti-feminist. Let me explain why...

First of all, it’s clear Mackenzie hasn’t stopped working to be with Sam. Since she met Sam, she starred in 2 TV movies, and recently was in Pittsburgh guest starring on a TV series. She also modeled for her friend’s vegan leather jewelry brand. And she posted an IG pic at a keyboard, so maybe she’s working on some music, since she is a singer as well. Those are the projects we KNOW about that she’s done while dating Sam. For the rest of her work on soap operas, TV Series, plays, and films, prior to Sam, all one needs to do is look up her bio. Mackenzie has been in the industry for a while and has won awards, starred on Broadway, and co-starred in Into The Woods with Meryl fucking Streep. She is a working actress, not unemployed by any means.

But secondly, for me, true feminism means supporting a woman having the freedom to do WHATEVER SHE WANTS. And if Mackenzie wanted to give up her career so she could lie naked in a hotel bed, eating bonbons, drinking champagne, waiting for Sam to get home from the set, then by all means, she should have the freedom to do that. THAT is what being a true feminist is: wanting women to be FREE to live the life they CHOOSE. And goddammit if waiting naked in bed for Sam AND chocolate AND champagne all together doesn’t sound like the BEST LIFE EVER. 

I don’t know about anyone else but if I had to choose between the drudgery of every day working life, trying to get ahead in a man’s world, trying to break the glass ceiling as a woman, and all the STRESS that goes along with working a full time job OR following my man around the world (naked, bed, bonbons, champagne, making blond blue-eyed babies)...uh, I would pick the latter.    But, hey, that’s just me. I’m lazy and I love nakedness, and hotel beds, and chocolate, and champagne, and babies who look like Sam (that I wouldn’t take care of myself because I’d hire a nanny...because lazy). But I digress...the POINT IS a true feminist SUPPORTS women and THEIR CHOICES, and their FREEDOM to make those choices, even if we wouldn’t make the same choices.
