Creating a Loop right now for the community. I’m in a RnB/Jazz vibe right now. 

As far as I can remember, the only Donut store (unless you count the sugary donuts being peddled in the streets along with the shakoy) used to only be Dunkin' Donuts. Their simple yet tasty creations were a part of every family's sunday food table, along with a 1L bottle of Coke. After a couple of years, Mister Donut, armed with that catchy jingle of theirs (Hey! Mister that's a donut...etc.), took a bite out of Dunkin's donut and attracted their share of fans as an alternative to the Pasalubong ng Bayan. This went on for a good number of years, until Hot Loops and Go Nuts! joined the fray. They didn't need jingles to catch up, they just let their super-sweet, sugar-glazed (the kind that would probably elicit a Homer Simpson "D'oh!") wonders loose. Everyone loved the new donuts. How'd they come up with the idea of glazed donuts, everyone asked. Answer: from the original Donut big-wig, Krispy Kreme. When KK heard of how successful glazed donuts were a smash here in our third-world outpost, they decided to invade us and stuff our mouths and stomachs with the original, the real deal. But if you ask me, Krispy Kreme's donuts, just like Go Nuts! before it, are over rated. Sure, it'll tickle your fancy and leave you satisfied with every bite, but as you eat more and more of it you'll realize that it actually just tastes the same as Go Nuts! (not exactly the same, but close...sugar is sugar). Here in Cebu, Go Nuts! is the current "new-hot-chick-neighbor" of the food world, the stuff that you used to ask someone you knew who was in Manila to bring back once they would go home. But even now, people are starting to shy away from them. It could be because people are more health-conscious than ever, or it could be because they've had their fill of Go Nuts! already. Yes, that quick! So before Krispy Kreme comes over (Hot Loops has been around for around the same time as Go Nuts!, but even they have decided against bringing their stuff over to Cebu) and people form mobs just to get them, my advice would be to avoid the mob and let the dust settle before coming over to try the stuff. They taste pretty much like every other donut, I tell you (except for a few exceptions, like the Hershey's donut...it's goooood!). Other than that, I'd say if you haven't tried a Krispy Kreme donut yet, you're not missing much!
