so i met with my little cousin for, the first time ever? and one: i love how open and curious she is and how she tries to understand and is honest that she knows she's buying from fast fashion and using ai without looking at the impact BUT she listened to what i had to say and considered it and i hope she stops using chat for literally anything. two: it has been insightful in how youth are using these "tools" and why and how they have zero idea of all the wrong things with ai. even teachers are using it to write exams which is absolutely insane for a professional person EDUCATING kids. and how dependant they all are on it, it's scary. she says she uses it because 'she's impatient' and it's too much effort to open tabs which sounds also insane to me. like what the actual fuck. so she told me she asks stuff like 'why don't my headphones connect' or 'give me a recipe for this for 1 person with A B and C ingredients'. and i was so horrified lol like i hope she saw how absurd it is to consult a machine that drinks and poisons our world for that kind of stuff. and i told her, just search the web. watxh videos, ask your parents, friends, anyone. don't rely on a machine
