I like it! Meulin isn’t exactly what I would call an ideal partner for Damara, and Damara certainly isn’t what I’d call ideal for Meulin, however with enough time and room for healing and growth on both of their parts I think it could end up being very sweet! I don’t think they’d be able to help each other with their deep seated inner problems, but after they find respective moirails who CAN (slash Horuss and Meulin have a serious talk over basically everything tbh) a relationship a ways down the road could be very cute! I like art of them and ficlets, but I wouldn’t dedicate myself to a comic or longfic :p

Horlin-

Horuss/Meulin I ship, like all Zahhaks and Leijons, in pale. HOWEVER. Horuss and Meulin’s relationship in canon is a MESS. Horuss and Meulin are both trying to interact through multiple veils of dishonesty, and Meulin even (in greater part, I believe, accidentally) encourages Horuss to add ANOTHER layer onto that. Meulin herself, we can gather from that, hides or ignores her own emotional issues (which also prevent her from reaching her potential as the Mage of Heart), and Horuss is too eager to accept Meulin’s guidance to really pry and dig his heels into that. Horuss seeks guidance, leadership, someone who can show him the way, but doesn’t care to acknowledge that Meulin herself doesn’t know what she’s doing (much like he doesn’t care to acknowledge that Rufioh doesn’t love him anymore, instead clinging to something dead (or beating a dead horse, as it were)). What needs to happen is 1. they need to stop being dead, because in death they have stagnated 2. Horuss needs to realize that he has to take responsibility for Meulin’s well being as much as he wants her to help him with his, and Meulin needs to accept that she’s NOT fine, and allow herself to process things. That’s probably the main hangup here. Neither has the directness necessary to process their own issues. So I’d see their relationship as blowing up- badly, and then the two of them sorta just… coming back, agreeing to help pick up the pieces, and working together without their pretenses and masks and barriers.

But yeah I fuckin ship them. It’s just. It’s what I gotta do.

Kurlin -

Definitely one of my guilty pleasures. I really, really, really like Kurlin, a lot, but my interpretations of their characters tend to vary enough from the general fannon consensus that I 110% understand why people wouldn’t ship them. I like art of them, defo, I like speculation of what they were before the Game, I like speculation of the messiness of what’s going on during the Game, and I like theoretical endings for them, but like… Yeah anyways my Kurloz analysis alone is too long for this ask so going into why I like Kurloz, AND Meulin, AND Kurlin seems a touch long so let’s just settle for “I like them yeah”
