âNice ship!â, Anna grinned, calling out to the man on the vessel from the deck below. âSeems like itâs been through a lot. How long have you had it?â

WILL TURNER. @horizontouched, said: you didn't think it'd be that easy, now did you?
ââ Â Â I did not prepare aptly for the DIFFICULTY, no. Â ââ
MISS SWANN ( very soon to be Missus Turner ) shook out her aching hand, already fatigued from the weight of the UNFAMILIAR CUTLASS in her palm, pale, soft fingertips smarting from the friction. it was WILL'S IDEA that she become more than a lucky novice with a sword, what with the heightened pirate activity around Port Royal of late âââ and her own habit for becoming the focus of their attention. but she hadn't needed much persuasion on the subject. she rather enjoyed the sensation of a blade in her hand, SWINGING AWAY like any pirate gallant, almost as much as she enjoyed the feeling of the blacksmith's hand sliding over his, his body pressed against hers as he corrected her form. perhaps she could chalk up any failings to simple distraction. yes, that's it. even a MASTER swordsman could hardly be expected to focus in these conditions.
a quick spat with a malicious captor was one thing, or picking up the nearest sword out of someone else's scabbard in the effort of self-protection. how Will ââ or ANYONE ââ endured such prolonged training sessions was a mystery to her. her forearms were like to make an audible scream at this rate. but she dared not protest. or, HEAVEN FORBID, ask to stop, the very last thing her pride would allow.
ââ Â Â I do recall a certain BLACKSMITH naming me ... what was it ? a natural. Â ââ
@horizontouchedâ tells henry, âi thought you knewâ
âYou thought I knew?â Henry asks, eyes blinking before they widen, mouth dropping open in slight surprise before he lets out a small gasp of disbelief. His father thought he knew? Well, that certainly was a surprise. Shaking his head briefly, Henry takes a step back, scoffing. âHow was I supposed to possibly know that you were on that ship and that you couldnât come up and spend time on land?â Henry questions, nearly letting out a laugh.Â
âYou were unable to come up to land, this entire time?â He finds himself clarifying, falling to the ground, letting the laugh escape from him. All of those years where he thought his father didnât want him, and thatâs why he pushed him away whenever he tried to visit. All of those years of doing things he was sure would make his father proud, only for none of it to be needed... It was something he couldnât comprehend. All of the years wasted. The feelings torn asunder.
11.tripping up a staircase
Upon the eve of evening, when there is still the strength of day yet the softness of night, the town comes alive with light and the music and mummers of the local pubs. It wasnât the first time Elizabeth had sneaked out of her room to wander around town, dressed in commonerâs clothes to hide from those thatâd seek her in her absence. Most of the time she spend some time at the docks, listening to the ritmic percussion of the sea. The waves breaking around the rocks in the shallows, their foam crests becoming chaotic lace over the blue. She used to watch it swirl, mesmerized, as if the movement of the water choreographed her thoughts. Her moments of lone time never lasted long though, for Mr. Norrington was usually the one to disrupt her unappropriated evening strolls.Â
This time, was different though. Unconsciously, her mind had brought her to her childhood friend. A soft thump of the door closing, announced her presence. She was immediately welcomed by his familiar face. His eyes were soft in the candlelight. He obviously wasn't expecting her in the forge at this hour, her sudden presence causing him to trip up the staircase. He definitely knew how improper her visit was, yet Elizabeth had never, not in his presence at least, cared much for propriety.
Without his approval she wandered closer, brown eyes clouding with concern. âWill, are you alright?â Elizabeth asked as she wandered closer. Upon closer observation, he seemed to be fine. Her gaze softened, her lips curling into a gentle smile. âBurning the midnight oil, are we?â Elizabeth question seeing he was still at work at this hour.
BLACK SAILS 4.06-4.10. @horizontouched said: âYou chose. Live with it.â
HOW CONTRARY to the doctrine she was accustomed to, that of cyclical sin and repentance. ANY ACTION might be undone with a word of confession and a few coins of indulgence, at least in the eyes of God ( the only eyes that mattered, really ). mortal men's judgement was of course far more final than all that, a hanging rope for a stolen crust of bread, a branding for a wayward kiss, but the Lady Esmeralda had made herself expert at dodging those punishments, too, for to skirt the death that men demanded so too did she delay her final judgement. neither of which she'd ever been much interested in facing.
but nonetheless, the pirate queen laughed. her Charon was terribly funny, after all, even if he hadn't meant to be, and by God did she need a laugh. it delighted her to find she could still do so.
ââ I can hardly live with anything now, can I ? ââ
perhaps she ought to regret it. perhaps, she ought to LAUGH in the face of the scythe with a little more discretion. but to what purpose ? if she truly was finished, her final voyage had as well be a PLEASURE CRUISE.
ââ no, I've no desire to serve on someone else's crew ââ even yours, seĂąor. it has been years since I was an ordinary seaman, and those old habits are hard to break. ââ

@horizontouched asked â you have more than one birthright â
"Until a few days ago I thought this was my only birthright," she held up the diary, her smile both sheepish and accepting. "And as it turns out I misread it all along. I'm not sure what my birthright actually is."

âAdmiring the view?â, Anna inquired softly, joining Will at the shipâs edge to look out into the Arendellian horizon. âIt may not be as warm as your home but you have to admit, this kingdom is really pretty.âÂ
Laughing softly she leaned forward, looking into the cool ocean, catching a glimpse of the water Nøkk quickly swimming by before disappearing into the depths below. âDo you have any creatures lurking around where youâre from? Any dangers?â
@horizontouchedâââ sent â iâve been having a hard time adjusting â from this meme
Henry had told her that his father had been cursed to the Flying Dutchman for just over twenty years, and while she had only just become accustomed to the idea of magic and curses, she couldnât quite wrap her mind around being forced to ferry the dead for a little longer than she had been alive. But she could imagine how strange it must be, the complete changes in his life from being a man, to a pirateâs boogeyman, to man again.
Her lips press together in sympathy. âIt must be difficult. Iâm finding it difficult, and Iâve not come half the distance you have.â Being around a family, so loving and close-knit... it is a world away from the orphanage.
