        Vanessa Carlysle has a very interesting relationship with cops,  specifically, the NYPD. This time,  the chairs are plastic and cold,  and to be honest, the moment the door opens next she’s contemplating on booking it.  However,  cuffed wrists won’t do much and she did, you know, kind of witness some shady shit at sister margaret’s but what can a girl say ? Wrong place wrong time, and that’s exactly what she was gonna tell whoever they sent in to speak with her.  She never understood why it had to be so . . . . formal ?  no that’s not the word she’s looking for.

“ She’s a decent ship. ”   Vane inclines his head towards the Jolly Roger at anchor in Nassau’s harbor. An arched eyebrow and curled lip accompany a surly grunt. 

Teach, from time to time, had come to possess the very ship in question and Vane had been afforded the opportunity to captain her. Last he saw the ship and his mentor, this man was nowhere in sight. It seemed that Teach was softening in his old age--enough that he should let such a prize return to her original captain with little conflict. Vane was still well connected to know Teach’s whereabouts and general comings and goings and this exchange hadn’t aroused enough interest for his sources to make note of it. It didn’t escape him that his lapse in information might mean that Teach had outed his informants.
