Hale Kia (Iolani Barracks), located in the shadow of the high rise office towers of downtown Honolulu, was the home of the Royal Guard. A few steps away is the Iolani Palace. Another fading landmark in Honolulu, the Aloha Tower Marketplace is now a dormitory and student center for Hawaii Pacific University. Only three restaurants left ( no shops unless your count the bookstore for the students) one of which is Hooters 🙄🙄🙄.
