Excited to visit my hometown later this week for the first time since before my kid! Also it's going to be super weird to be there and not be staying in my old house.
‘Townies’ by Wednesday still reducing me to tears every time I hear it. It’s been a couple months since I’ve listened to it multiple times a day and I just watched their KEXP live performance. Woof. All the boys who died in my hometown before they had a chance to grow up! Just really gets to me.
In 2019 I found this document some guy made for my older sister when she got kicked out of her private school months before graduation over pot and wound up at the school where I was a freshman. It was a list of 10 contacts of various dealers in our area, and 3 contacts of people to not associate with. At the time I found the list three of those guys were dead. A few years passed and it’s even more. So many other names on gravestones too. It just gets to me.
