Ingredients: 1 lb penne pasta. 2 tbsp olive oil. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 1/2 cup vodka. 1 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes. 1 cup heavy cream. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh basil leaves for garnish. Grated Parmesan cheese for serving.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to cook the penne pasta until it is al dente. Remove the water and set it aside. Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about one to two minutes, until the garlic smells good. Add the vodka and let it cook for two to three minutes, until it gets a little less thick. Add the tomato paste and season with salt and pepper. Let the sauce cook slowly for about 10 minutes, stirring every now and then. Lower the heat to low and slowly pour in the heavy cream. Keep stirring until everything is well combined and warm all the way through. Toss the cooked penne pasta in the sauce slowly to coat it.
