Iconic Arcade/Media1UP have opened up a Google Drive that contains all their press release stuff including recent renders of the cabinets.
What I wanted to show here is the one I'll be getting and pointing out a thing or two..
First off it's nice seeing the cab with the new CPO on it and I quite like the look and think it'll look good next to my current SFII:CE cabinet!
Next, something that surpises me is the texture on the sideart! I really didn't expect that but it's nice seeing that there's extra details on there and the image looks sharp. I'll probably consider keeping this sideart, haha..
I think it's pretty neat that they are including USB ports on the front with a cover for when one isn't using them but I'm not sure what I'd use them for.. I would never want to connect any external controllers to it for example.. and I don't think they support loading your own roms from thumb drives or anything like that.
I feel like a kid waiting to open her christmas gifts except I know what it is and I bought it myself.. haha
Endurance matches in MK have always been tricky because they get 2 life bars to your one and the difficulty seems to ramp up..
I was attempting a 1CC with Sub-Zero tonight and made it to the third endurance match on one credit but then lost there
Last time I beat it I used $1.50 worth of credits
Some time I'd like to record myself doing 1CCs of Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct for YouTube
Maybe it'll be even easier for me to do a 1CC once I've upgraded the control panel components to industrias Lorenzo 😅🕹️💜
These mini pinballs from Five Below are cute but nothing anyone would want to actually sit down and play for more than a few seconds:
•No lighting
•No score keeping
•Too fast gameplay because of the size
•Dodgy flippers*
But what do I really expect for $5? These technically aren't for me but I couldn't resist because they were cute and had some stuff I like on them like Invader Zim!
These are more like display pieces of things I like..
In a way they're like earlier pinball except much nore cheaply made... Haha
*Possibly anecdotal because others may have better ones

One detail I like on the Invader Zim one... Gaz playing her GameSlave-2! 😁💜🕹️👍🏻
It has a light diffuser here which suggests it was originally intended to be illuminated from the inside.. there's no light intake on the other side..
Certain people in the home arcade hobby.. particularly vintage collectors act like lesser expensive options like A1UP are fragile AF and not good enough but this arcade is a reminder that is not necessarily true..
If you set foot outside of the hobby space you'll see the world isn't as precious about the difference between real or faux or about any of the details that I obsess over..
This doesn't mean I'll suddenly stop caring but a reality check is in order sometimes..

Arcade and coin operated machines are a bit like cats... Once you start keeping them more will start "following you home".….. 😅🕹️💜🪙
I swapped the positions of the LED sign and tin arcade flyer here tonight.. I think it looks better this way.. 😀💜🕹️
Apparently, Basic Fun, a recent entrant into the home arcade market, is developing new TMNT arcade cabinets in sizes up to XL. In essence, these cabinets will be the Cowabunga Collection in an arcade format.
Although I am trying to remain composed until I see something definitive, my inner child is extremely enthusiastic. I am finding it difficult to suppress my excitement over the idea of a new TMNT XL-sized arcade, particularly if it retains an authentic aesthetic in all vital respects.
Additionally, Basic Fun refers to their XL line as the "Supreme" line. It appears that these cabinets will be sold at club stores, and I hope they will be available at Sam's Club, as it is the nearest option to me.
I like this custom cabinet for the most part except for the button layout.. it should have two buttons per player
