i mean sure it could be the website, tumblr is a mess, but lets not forget verizon owns yahoo now so theres like.. a 50/50 chance verizons pulling some shit to make people less aware of the net neutrality issue
I honestly truly believe there could be some censorship happening but it’s unclear to say where because theres so many underlying factors that could be affecting the tags. This “censorship” happens everytime there is an event (usually relating to social justice) in which the tags begin to act weird. I think it’s because a lot of posts are flooding these tags as well as views and tracking, so it glitches trying to keep up with everything at once. Once the glitch happens, people post about it, then even more people flood in to see if it’s true, which causes it to get worse.
I can see how it could be censorship, but with the history of how I’ve seen these things go (especially since Ferguson), I feel like it might be a system error.
