Eve smiles at his offer and ponders on it for a moment. It shouldn't be a bad thing if he were to bring some things over from Heaven right? He wouldn't be breaking any rules, especially if portal access was more of a thing now. "As long as you come to visit me more and it won't cause you any trouble, then...it sounds like a deal." She paused, quickly waving her hands with panic. "I-I mean not that kind of deal. Not like the ones here. It's just a metaphor coming from me. Don't worry!"

It would be a wonderful start. Even if the plants just ended up dying anyway, at least all her efforts weren't really for nothing. She'd still get to see Abel too and that would more than make up for it. After all, it was all she had truly wanted -- to see her family again. Even if she couldn't remain with him in Heaven like she wanted yet, she was taking what she could while she could get it.

Although her heart aches at thinking about Adam again, the mother places a comforting hand on her son's shoulder. "I know...but Abel, I believe in you. You're your father's son, as well as mine too. You'll figure it out. And if anything...you probably don't have to do things exactly like your father did. You could follow your own heart and lead how you want. Just know, I'm always here for you. I know you'll make the right choice."

Niffty's feet are barely visible as she races through the hotel to find Abel. She'd heard he was here, and she's excited. Adam's son! She's got her angelic knife clasped in her little hands, carefully pointed blade-down because Charlie had told her not to run with it the other way in case hotel-goers thought she was coming to murder them.

"Abel, I love you, but we are going to have to work on that score." Even as she says that, she can't help but break out in a smile.

"Abel! How's it feel being the Commander of the Exorcists now? Hope it's not too stressful!"

"... were they, now."

heaven help him, at least abel is an earnest and well-meaning fledgling, albeit shockingly naive; never saw more of earth than a field, murdered before he ever learned what the world could really do to a soul between its sharp teeth - no wonder he thinks an infernal uprising can be soothed with taffy and soft toys, and hell be bribed into civility.

the commander's dusk-dark gaze is heavy with a quiet protectiveness he would deny if pressed. heaven has raised abel SOFT, but he would have to toughen and temper in the cruel forge of this unsought leadership.

"I take it you never stepped foot in hell, until now."

"Oh gosh, I didn't know you felt that way~" A nervous laugh, had she always been oblivious to this fact? Lately, yes. There was too much going on to focus on personal lives. Emily gently took his head in her hands and leaned in to kiss him, something soft and sweet that was gone way too soon. "I hope that was good."

Abel is going to flatter, act cool, but he's also kneeling down too cause he doesn't mind.

"Oh my, Abel~" Cue the soft purr from the sinner as he reaches for his boyfriend's hand, placing an awfully sweet kiss against the back of it..
