Holoskin — from “holos,” whole or entire in Greek, refers to someone who identifies and perceives themselves as a specific character physically, mentally, or psychologically—and, depending on the case, spiritually—all at the same time, as a whole.
Someone who calls themselves a holoskin literally sees and feels themselves as their involuntary identification character at all times—it is a permanent identity. In other words, the person firmly believes that they are that character in real life, and may experience dysphoria and/or body dysmorphia due to this extreme identification.
The connection and identification are strong and extreme, of great importance to the person’s identity. Seeing and/or interacting with: twins, specific headcanons, hate, misinformation, etc., regarding the character can cause discomfort and/or irritability because it is not a Holoskin’s “true identity.”
The experiences of being a Holoskin are:
Extreme physical, mental, psychological, and, depending on the individual, spiritual identification with a character.
Feeling dysphoria and/or body dysmorphia.
Believing sincerely and genuinely that one is the character in real life.
The person believes or feels they are trapped in a body and reality that does not belong to them.
Meaning of colors:
Red — intense emotions
Purple — spirituality
Blue — mindset / mind
White — Innocence or genuineness in feelings / experiences
The various colors represent combinations of these meanings
This term was created entirely based on my own experiences, and for me. I may change it in the future to better describe what I go through on a daily basis; it wasn’t meant to be used for deception and/or manipulation ,, Anyone who identifies with this can use it, I really don’t mind.
