Gems and all), this was the first mission for a young man named Andrew DeMayo, who would make a name for himself by single-handedly capturing the Agate in charge of the Zoo Garrison. He was put in charge of her security til the ship they were on, the "Arc Mercy", returned to Earth, during that time, the staunch traditionalist Agate and the traditionalist Man would find a sort of kinship in each other, and over the next few months, would blossom into something more. (Yes, I'm squeezing some HollAndy into this AU.)
