Remy shuffles into the kitchen, bleary-eyed and zombi-like, having awoken under a random blanket on the couch when he accidentally rolled out of it. Dylan is stood at the counter, eating what he thinks is his fifth bowl of cereal, but in truth he stopped counting a couple bowls back. As Remy approaches, Dylan reaches to push the steaming mug of freshly made coffee towards the drowsy dude. Remy may have moved out a while back, but looking after your brother is like riding a bike, you never really forget how to do it.
Nice and hot, the mug warms Remyâs fingers and he gives a satisfied sigh as he raises it to his lips. The moment is short lived though, as Remy catches sight of the time and slams the cup back on he side again
11am?!?
âShit!â
Remy rushes out the kitchen, a few loud bangs following him as he throws he bedroom doors wide open. Dylan stays put, calmly slurping down the last of his milk when Remy comes back in, tired eyes glaring right through his younger brother.
âLogan sorted everything out, didnât he?â
Dylan nods. âYup.â
âYou could have said.â
Five bowls of cereal should be enough and Dylan moves to rinse his bowl in the sink, a smug satisfied grin on his face.
âI thought the adrenaline might help to wake you up.â
Remy mutters something under his breath as he returns to his steaming cup and takes another sip. Dylan may not hear what his brother says, but the grumpy look on Remyâs face says it all. Dylan smirks.
