My Rebecca Jessel Playlist <3
Next up on my little playlist arc is Rebecca Jessel. She was a character who definitely deserved better, and I do believe to be a good person. This playlist is a bit shorter than the others, but I still hope it is reminiscent of dear Miss Jessel. Do enjoy, and please don't "Add to Other Playlist."

THE HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR (2020)
I've been doing a rewatch of HoHH and HoBM and I think what has made them stick with me the most is just how real it all is. Obviously not the ghost part, of course, but...
Nell watching a loved one die just inches from her and being unable to do anything. A family member battling addiction and trying to figure out how that affects your relationship with them. A family torn apart without most of them knowing why. Previous memories that cloud your interactions with others no matter how hard you try to forget.
And the wonderful lines!
"Go on without me." "How could we?"
"What a life we could have had..."
It's those two particular moments that have stuck with me for so long. Missed opportunities. A loved one ripped away suddenly. Pain and confusion and loss and rage. But there's so many other good ones, too!
