Just bought a Airbrush from HobbyPoint TB. Cost S$320. Bought it for a few reasons, it give a better finish compare to hand painting (painted 3 model kits so far) and you will feel more satisfaction completing the model kit with an airbrush.
Just test it and I am already impress with the result. Although I am still unsure how to properly ctrl it and some mistake did happen but overall it was ok.
Mistake I did was to bring the kit to close to the air brush, this cause a huge amount of paint landing on the kit. Now I need to sand it down slightly and paint again...
I was prepare for cleaning the airbrush so it wasn't as troublesome as I thought. I find that it pretty good to keep a cup of warm/hot water near by as it can easy wash out the acrylic paint before I use industry thinner.
Remind me of me cleaning crazy rifles in the army...
Space, time and smell is a problem I have... the compressor I have is still pretty noisy, especially during the evening period. Guess I need to delicate my week end morning for this next time. Because of my previous hobby(comic bk) my room are pack and I can only afford this small area for painting... next to the window... the plastic box is my spraybooth replacement... it just to ex and dangerous to make one so for now I just need to air my room more often.
Gonna paint some more parts in the morning tomorrow...
