Summary:
Jackson Frost Bennett doesn't know much about where he came from, mysteriously washing up onto Berk's shore eighteen years ago with no explanation, but he tries his best to focus on what he does know; his family, his (begrudging) training with North, keeping the tales of the hidden mythical world alive. The latter costing him the respect of most of his peers, but Jack was nothing if not full of belief.
Hiccup doesn't fair much better between his rocky relationship with his father, long days in the forge, and the weight of being heir to the chief title while being the tribe's resident fishbone resting heavy on his shoulders.
Thankfully, they had each other. Finding unlikely friendship despite their circumstances, and it was enough. It had to be enough when the rest of their lives laid ahead of them, promising nothing but falling into roles that didn't quite fit.
But a last ditch effort to change their destinies sends a Night Fury tumbling down from the sky and sets into motion something of what they aren't entirely sure of, but it feels like exactly what they have been waiting for all along.
