His father's words lingered in his head after their talk earlier, it was odd, but the words “he will be fine” were starting to just annoy him, or feel a bit like some kind of curse. He shook his head, trying to focus on why he was there, after being quite bad for a week, Hayden had run out of books to read, so he had delivered the ones he had read, and then went to find some new books to bring home. 

“Rylan?”

He snapped out of his own thoughts seeing Vy stand there looking at him with a bit of a questioning look. 

“Oh... Yvreon, hi. “ “No Hayden today? Not seen him for a while now.” “Yeah, sorry he’s at home.” “Is he sick?” “Yeah.”

He looked at Yvreon, trying to decide just how much he should actually tell him about it.

“If it’s a cold, I know a good remedy!” “It’s not.” “Oh, it works for a flue too?” “Not that either.”

Rylan sighed, realizing that whatever he did, their friend would find out one way or another. Maybe now was just as good as any other time? Leading Vy over to a table, he sits down and explains as best he can what is actually wrong with his brother, and why he is currently not well. 

“So, as they say, that is that.” “I can heal... maybe I can heal him?” “Have you healed anything before?” “Ehm.. the tree?” “What tree?” “My treehouse, it kinda broke when I built my house.” “Really?” “Maybe I can heal Hayden?” “There is a slight difference from healing a tree to a human Yvreon...” “It was split in two! I can heal!” “Hmh.. well I guess it can’t hurt to try.”

Notices a sudden nervous look on Yvreon that wasn’t there just minutes earlier. 

“What?” “I never healed a person before.” “Well do you want to try?” “Yes?” “Okay then...”

Rylan shook his head wondering if this was even an idea he should be entertaining. 

“Just help me find some books and we can go see him and ask if he wants you to try.” “Okay!”
